Part 38

The Evil Within Part 38 covers the Sadist boss fight and tips for Chapters 4 and 5, including strategies for invisible enemies and tough boss encounters.

Tips:

• For Chapter 4, "The Patient", you can find a chest in the left house, which contains an enemy. Decide if it's worth fighting.
• The house on the right (where the ghost lady appears) is enemy-free and contains items.
• Visit Valerio, kill him, and collect his key. You can then visit the save room before entering the room where Leslie is.
• The invisible enemy in Chapter 4 is difficult. If you are fast, you can burn it after a shotgun blast, but it may take several shots.
• Gather all items in the area before the final fight of Chapter 4, including the second key from the lever/chute.
• Find the ladder in the sludge that leads to the catwalk above a door. You will run here after your first attack.
• Place a bomb where enemies appear (trap) and then go to the door. Place another trap by the railing as 2-3 zombies will climb it.
• Approach the door to start the fight. The initial bombs and traps will help.
• Once zombies scale the wall, place a grenade near them (there is always one on the floor).
• Use an upgraded bolt to blind the group, then perform melee attacks on a few enemies.
• A second wave will appear, including a Ruvik Clone. Jump the fence and go up the ladder.
• From the ladder, Ruvik cannot reach you, and you are relatively safe. Shoot enemies, including Ruvik, as they climb up. You can finish the fight from this vantage point.
• After the fight, escape from Laura. Grab the initial gel and run through the halls.
• Hit the button on the door, collect items, and go down the ladder.
• Dismantle the first trap, duck under the second, and run to safety.
• Go down the stairs to meet Ruvik. Do not waste ammunition and head back up to end the chapter.
• Chapter 5, "Inner Recesses", is the hardest challenge yet.
• NOTE: Upgrade Flash Bolts for Chapter 6, as they are very helpful in Nightmare/Akumu modes.
• The first part of Chapter 5 involves invisible enemies in the mental ward. Visit all rooms and collect items.
• Each invisible enemy in Chapter 5 gives 1,000 Green Gel.
• In the bathroom, shoot the rat for a key. In the next room, you will encounter another invisible enemy.
• It is not worth running past the invisible enemies. If they grab you with low health, it is likely over. On Nightmare, you will be near death; on Akumu, you will die.
• Lay traps and follow up with well-placed pistol or shotgun shots against invisible enemies.
• Invisible enemies move side-to-side, making the crossbow line method difficult. Aim the crossbow line at their body.
• Stay on the move if you think invisible enemies are close, as they reveal themselves when they try to grab you, even if they miss.
• Kill the two invisible foes on your way to the keycard and the third on your way back.
• After recovering and healing Joseph, you will go through a room with
