Booster Rematch Boss Guide

Master the Booster Rematch in Super Mario RPG (2023) with our guide. Learn boss stats, weaknesses, party recommendations, and strategies to defeat Booster and the Strong Snifsters.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Recommended Level: 30 (24 minimum)
• Booster HP: 2,200
• Strong Snifster HP: 3,800
• Booster Weakness: Ice
• Strong Snifster Weakness: Jump

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Booster and Three Strong Snifsters
   The fight begins with Booster and three Strong Snifsters. Your priority is to interrupt Booster's concentration by hitting him with normal attacks or multi-hit special attacks like Geno Beam whenever he appears to be preparing his Loco Express 023 attack. Simultaneously, focus on defeating the Strong Snifsters. The most effective way to do this is by using Geno Whirl and executing its action command to deal 9,999 damage, wiping out one Snifster per use. Peach's Mute ability can help reduce the damage from the Snifsters' special attacks (Bolt, Gunk Ball, Blizzard), though it won't stop their Morale Support.
2. Phase 2: Booster Alone
   Once all three Strong Snifsters are defeated, Booster will be alone. At this point, it is recommended to switch Geno out for Mallow. Booster is weak against Ice attacks, so Mallow's Snowy ability will be highly effective in finishing him off quickly. Booster may still attempt to use his train attack, but it can be interrupted with normal attacks.

Strategy:

• Party Recommendation: Mario, Geno, and Peach for the initial phase. Switch Geno for Mallow once the Snifsters are defeated.
• Interrupt Booster: Always prioritize interrupting Booster's concentration when he prepares for Loco Express 023.
• Geno Whirl: Use Geno Whirl with its action command to one-shot the Strong Snifsters.
• Peach's Mute: Utilize Peach's Mute to reduce incoming damage from Snifster special attacks.
• Mallow's Snowy: Switch to Mallow and use Snowy once Booster is alone, exploiting his Ice weakness.
• Equipment: Ensure party members have their best equipment. For Geno, the Feather accessory is crucial for speed to take down Snifsters quickly. Mario should have the Lazy Shell, Hero Shirt (or Super Suit), and Trueform Pin (or Attack Scarf). Geno needs the Star Gun, Star Cape, and Feather. Peach requires the Frying Pan, Royal Dress, and Quart Charm.
