You've reached the final stronghold. Mission 12, "The Last Bastion," is a relentless gauntlet designed to test every skill you've honed throughout Strinova. This isn't just about shooting; it's about tactical movement, resource management, and understanding enemy patterns under extreme pressure. Prepare for heavy resistance, elite enemy units, and environmental hazards that will push you to your limits. Success here means the liberation of the sector, but failure means the Strinova forces maintain their iron grip.

Before you even step foot into the Bastion, ensure your loadout is optimized. We recommend a high-damage assault rifle for sustained fire against heavily armored targets, a precision sniper rifle for eliminating distant threats and turrets, and a reliable shotgun for close-quarters engagements in the Bastion's tight corridors. Stock up on Medkits and Grenades; you'll need every single one. Consider equipping the "Kinetic Shield" ability for crucial damage mitigation during intense firefights, and the "Overcharge Pulse" for clearing groups of weaker enemies or stunning stronger ones.

The mission begins with an exterior breach. You'll need to disable three Anti-Air Turrets guarding the main entrance. These turrets are heavily armored and protected by waves of Strinova Sentinels. Prioritize the Sentinels first to reduce incoming fire, then focus on the turrets. Use cover extensively; the open courtyard offers little protection. Once the turrets are down, a breach charge will be deployed, opening the path into the Bastion proper. Be ready for immediate close-quarters combat upon entry.

Inside, the Bastion is a labyrinth of interconnected chambers and fortified corridors. Your primary objective is to reach the Command Core at the highest level. Expect frequent ambushes from Elite Shocktroopers and the new "Annihilator" units, which are heavily armed and armored mechs. Annihilators have a weak point on their back, so flanking maneuvers are crucial. use environmental traps, such as explosive barrels and unstable structural supports, to your advantage. Keep an eye out for weapon caches marked on your mini-map; these often contain rare ammo types or powerful temporary buffs. The final confrontation in the Command Core will pit you against the Strinova Overlord, a formidable opponent with multiple attack phases. Focus fire on its exposed energy conduits during its vulnerable states, and be prepared to dodge its devastating area-of-effect attacks.
