Defeat The Last Stand Commander in Strinova. Use precision strikes and environmental awareness to counter its disruptive movement in the Old City.

The Last Stand Commander is a tactical nightmare, a highly mobile enemy that prioritizes disrupting your positioning and overwhelming you with coordinated attacks. This boss is encountered in the desolate ruins of the Old City, a sprawling urban combat zone that the Commander uses to its full advantage. Unlike the brute force of the Nexus Guardian, the Commander relies on precision strikes and strategic retreats, making it a test of your adaptability and awareness.

Phase 1: Reconnaissance and Harassment

The Commander begins by deploying a series of "Scout Drones" that will attempt to mark your position for artillery strikes. Your primary objective in this phase is to eliminate these drones quickly while avoiding the Commander's initial burst fire. Focus on high-damage, area-of-effect weapons like the Plasma Launcher or the Incendiary Grenade to clear the drones efficiently. The Commander itself will remain at a distance, occasionally firing precise shots with its Long-Range Railgun. Utilize cover extensively and keep moving to avoid being locked down.

Phase 2: Aggressive Maneuvers

Once a certain number of Scout Drones are destroyed, the Commander will become more aggressive, closing the distance and utilizing its Shockwave Pulse ability. This pulse will disorient you and push you out of cover, leaving you vulnerable. Counter this by anticipating the pulse and using your dash ability to quickly reposition behind new cover or to a higher vantage point. During this phase, the Commander will also deploy "Assault Bots" that will attempt to flank you. Prioritize eliminating these bots to prevent being overwhelmed. Weapons with high fire rates, such as the Storm Rifle or Twin Vipers, are excellent for dealing with the Assault Bots.

Phase 3: The Final Push

In its final phase, the Last Stand Commander will combine all its previous tactics, deploying both Scout Drones and Assault Bots while maintaining its aggressive close-quarters combat. It will also activate its Overcharge Shield, making it temporarily invulnerable to direct damage. During this time, focus all your fire on the deployed units to clear the battlefield. Once the shield deactivates, unleash your most powerful abilities and weapons. Consider using your ultimate ability, such as Orbital Strike or Berserker Rage, to quickly finish off the Commander before it can reactivate its shield. Maintaining situational awareness and managing your cooldowns are crucial for success in this final, intense phase.
