How to Fast Travel: Tips And Tricks

To fast travel in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, you must speak with designated guides located in major camps. The first guide you'll encounter is Uncle Lyonya in Zalissya, found in the northwestern house. Look for the guide icon, resembling a target, when zooming in on hub areas like Zalissya or Slag Heap.

However, simply speaking to a guide is not enough; you need to have spoken to at least two different guides to enable fast travel to their respective locations. The next guide you'll meet is Bonkers in the Slag Heap of Garbage, typically encountered while progressing the main story quests.

Once you have spoken to two guides, you can utilize their services for fast travel, but it comes at a cost. The minimum fee for fast travel is 1500 K. This cost is significant enough to discourage frequent use but not so high as to make it entirely impractical.

Given the vastness of The Zone, you will likely find yourself using fast travel services more often as you progress deeper into the game, especially when you begin accumulating coupons (K). Early in the game, you may not have sufficient funds for fast travel, necessitating travel on foot between the initial zones. To earn money early on, consider repairing weapons found from bandits and selling them to Lens the Technician in Zalissya, then selling them to Hamster for a profit. This is only profitable if the weapon is not heavily damaged (indicated by a yellow repair icon, not red). Alternatively, you can take on jobs from Warlock, who is located behind the bar in Zalissya, to increase your funds.

To initiate fast travel, speak to a guide, express your interest in finding a guide, and then select your desired destination. After paying the fee, you will be teleported to that location.

It is advisable to complete all available missions within each hub area before moving to the next. This strategy will save you money in the long run by reducing the need for frequent fast travel.
