Shift Change Mission Walkthrough

When you first arrive in the Wild Island area, you will be directed to check in at the Sawmill (Map Marker).

Exit the Sawmill and proceed east along the road.

Continue on this road until you reach the Waste Processing Plant, located to the north of the road (Map Marker). Be aware of numerous anomalies on your path.

As you approach the Waste Processing Plant, you will hear repeated distress calls from an NPC named Jumper over the radio, reporting an attack and requesting aid.

Jumper can be found in the outpost at the southern edge of the plant, near the eastern road.

Upon entering the outpost, you will find Jumper and his companion Bluish. Speak to Jumper to receive the mission details. He will explain that a mind-controlling monster in the basement has turned his colleagues into zombies.

Jumper will inform you that the basement is locked and requires North's Key. He mentions that North often took a cigarette break on the roof of the Waste Processing Plant.

Exit the outpost and enter the plant complex by crossing the bridge to the north.

At the end of the bridge, take the stairs to your left and proceed north towards the larger building.

As you approach this building, a zombie NPC will emerge from the door. These enemies are hostile and will shoot if they detect you. They require multiple body shots to kill, but a headshot (a shot that lands on the enemy's head, usually an instant kill) will eliminate them with a single bullet.

Enter the building and immediately take the stairs to your right.

Proceed to the end of this upper level, where you will find a corpse hanging over a railing. To the right of the corpse, the path is broken.

Drop onto the platform below, then jump over containers to the south to reach the other side.

Climb the stairs and continue upwards.

At the top of the stairs, you will find a ladder leading to the roof. There is a zombie on the walkway, but it will only attack if you move west.

On the roof, head east towards a lantern. There are no enemies on the roof.

Opposite the lantern, you will find blood on the edge of the roof. Look down to find North's corpse on the pipes below.

Drop onto the pipe below and loot North's corpse to obtain the basement key.

To descend safely, walk to the southern edge of the pipe, look down for a platform, and make a quick save before running and jumping to it. From there, you can re-enter the building.

Head back inside the main building and take the stairs down near the entrance to reach the lower level and the basement door.

Interact with the door and descend the ladder to the left to enter the basement. Be prepared for numerous zombies.

As you descend the ladders, loot the backpack just before the last ladder for supplies.

You will end up in the sewers. Follow the linear path south, avoiding toxic waste.

Take the ladder on your right. Before climbing it, continue around the corner to find a backpack next to a lantern containing supplies and a High-Capacity Busket S-2 Magazine.

Climb the ladder into the underground area.

You will encounter three zombies from multiple directions. Back up into the previous room to engage them one by one, or use a grenade. Aim for the head to conserve ammunition.

After clearing the zombies, proceed north in the main hallway to find supplies on a shelf to your right, then continue west.

In the next room, check the caged area for more supplies and a corpse to loot.

Go up the stairs. In the next area, check another caged area for a backpack of supplies on a table.

Proceed up the next set of stairs. In the subsequent area, a zombie NPC will rise.
