Catch a flying thief using Superfly and find hidden eggs in Spyro: Year of the Dragon Part 51. Includes Desert Ruins walkthrough.
Walkthrough
- 1Round the crystal tower and glide down to the islands with the first Locked Chest. Glide to the right to a challenge portal for Egg 123.
- 2Use the Superfly powerup to catch the flying thief. Fly through blue stars and cut corners. If the Superfly timer runs out, return to the powerup for more fuel. Flame the thief when close enough. This is Egg 124/150 (124/149) - Max | Grey | Catch the flying thief.
- 3Charge the Superfly again and fly over the golden doorway that led to Mr. Zamboni. To the right, find vases and fly atop a golden platform for a gem.
- 4Drop down to the area with dynamite bottles. Flame one to detonate them all.
- 5Grab the key on the golden platform. Go on top of the golden entrance to The Great Zamboni to find Egg 125/150 (125/149) - Grace | Green | Fly to the hidden egg. Use Superfly to get there.
- 6Return to the highest point of the arena and long glide to the starting island. Use the new whirlwind to ascend.
- 7Use the key to unlock the chest for gems.
- 8Use Superfly to fly up to the crystal tower. Collect the gold chipping on a golden house roof to increase your gem count from 690 to 700.
- 9Exit the level through the Exit Portal. You should have approximately 12300 Gems, 125 Eggs, 16 Skill Points, and 84% completion.
- 10Enter Desert Ruins. Collect the small gems on the starting sand dune.
- 11Speak to Gus to learn his problem: his girlfriend has gone to raid tombs and hasn't returned.
- 12Jump onto the large round platform in the acid; it will begin sinking, so jump off quickly.
- 13Confront the large scorpion. Jump over its fire attack and flame it.
- 14Go up the steps to your right to find a smaller, brighter scorpion with range. Stay off the step, wait for its tail sting shot, then jump and charge it onto the platform.
- 15Repeat the process with the next scorpion. Glide right of the locked chest onto a hand-shaped statue platform.
- 16Collect the purple gem on the second hand statue. Jump off and go down to another large scorpion to jump and flame.
- 17Go to the nearby bridge with a metallic cup. Charge the enemy on the bridge to send its gem and body flying.
- 18Cross the now-safe bridge and climb the ladder at the back. Collect gems on the ledge.
- 19Cross the next bridge, charge the Rhynoc when the bridge is black, then glide to the lower area.
- 20Defeat the scorpions and flame the geckos if needed. Glide to the large sinking platform in the acid, then to the one next to it.
- 21Time your glide to another bridge with fire-shooting Rhynocs; try not to get burnt.
- 22Charge the enemy on the bridge; a scorpion may be hiding behind it.
- 23Glide left onto a ledge, climb the ladder to a thin path, and go right. Defeat the trio of scorpions guarding two helpful lives. Collect any gems.
- 24Go to the other side of that ladder and glide. See Midnight Mountain Challenge Portals for Eggs 126 and 127.
