Part 5 of Spyro: Year of the Dragon introduces new challenges and collectibles across various level types. This section details Speedways, Boss Levels, Sparx Levels, and Gem Containers, providing strategies and locations to help you progress and find all the gems.

Regular Levels:

Sunny Villa, Cloud Spires, Molten Crater, Seashell Shore, Icy Peak, Enchanted Towers, Spooky Swamp, Bamboo Terrace, Frozen Altars, Lost Fleet, Fireworks Factory, Charmed Ridge, Crystal Islands, Desert Ruins, Haunted Tomb, Dino Mines.

Speedways:

Speedways feature sporty events where you can choose between Time Trial and Race modes. In Time Trial, complete four tasks within a time limit, hitting 8 objects per task to earn a Dragon Egg. In Race mode, compete against five creatures. In the first Speedway, flame butterflies; in others, use missiles obtained by flying through red stars to slow opponents. Blue stars provide a turbo boost. Hunter also hides in each Speedway, offering a mission to win an Egg.

Speedway Locations:

Mushroom Speedway, Country Speedway, Honey Speedway, Harbour Speedway.

Hunter's Locations in Speedways:

• Mushroom Speedway - In a mushroom on an island near the seventh flower.
• Country Speedway - In a house right in the middle.
• Honey Speedway - Just after the seventh Honeycomb.
• Harbour Speedway - Inside the lighthouse.

Boss Levels:

Boss Levels contain a special enemy with unique attacks that must be defeated with specific strategies. Each world has a main boss, a Sparx boss, and a semi-boss (except Midnight Mountain). Defeating a boss earns a Dragon Egg.

Boss Level Locations:

Buzz's Dungeon, Spike's Arena, Scorch's Pit, Sorceress' Lair, Sorceress Finale.

Sparx Levels:

Sparx Worlds are unlocked after defeating the boss of their respective home level. You play as Sparx in a top-down view, defeating enemies and collecting keys to unlock doors or forcefields leading to a boss that requires many shots to defeat. Defeating the Sparx boss earns a Dragon Egg.

Sparx Level Locations:

• Crawdad Farm - Sunrise Spring Home: Left of the entrance to the room with the balloon.
• Spider Town - Midday Garden Home: At the very top end of the level.
• Starfish Reef - Evening Lake Home: Up the ladder found above water.
• Bugbot Factory - Midnight Mountain Home: Left of the bridge up to Harbour Speedway.

Gem Containers:

Gems can be found in various containers throughout the levels:

• On the Ground: Gems are found sparkling and rolling on the ground. Sparx helps collect these. (Found: Every Level)
• Baskets: Orange wooden baskets that can be opened with any attack. (Found: Every Level but Super Bonus)
• Vases: Grey vases with stripes, opened with any attack except the normal breath attack. (Found: Every Level but Super Bonus)
• Headbash Chest: Grey boxes with a red and white circle on top, opened by any aerial attack or a powerful attack. (Found: About half the levels)
• Strong Chests: These are the rarest type of chest. (Description incomplete in source)

Moneybags may also appear in some levels to collect gems.
