Learn Silver, Blaze, and Amy's moves in Sonic the Hedgehog, including upgrades like Hold Smash for 200 Rings and Teleport Dash for 1000 Rings.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Sonic's Surface Escape: To get off the surface, press the jump button. This can be glitched; keep trying, or climb to the top, or turn a corner, and he will eventually come off the wall.
  2. 2
Sonic's Punch Attack: Tap the Attack button to punch enemies straight ahead. Keep pressing the Attack button for stronger combo versions. The third combo sends out a shockwave that damages enemies on the ground in a large radius.
  3. 3
Sonic's Screwdriver Attack: Hold the Attack button, then release to perform a screwdriver punch. This is a form of Homing Attack that requires charging while standing still. If no enemies are around, he will spiral forward as a fiery dash. Repeating this move results in a Ground Shaker.
  4. 4
Sonic's Ground Shaker Attack: Press the Attack button while jumping to dive straight downward fist first, causing a disruptive ripple that damages enemies and surroundings, paralyzing nearby enemies.
  5. 5
Silver's Basic Moves: All of Silver's moves use or prevent the refilling of the Action Gauge. Levitate uses it up quickly. Refill the Action Gauge by not using psy moves and standing on the ground, or by getting Light Cores/Chaos Drives from enemies.
  6. 6
Silver's Levitate: Press the Jump button, then hold the Jump button to levitate and move freely in any direction until the gauge runs out. Objects cannot be levitated when Silver is levitating.
  7. 7
Silver's Psychokinesis: Press the Special Action button to raise surrounding objects off the ground. Enemy projectiles can also be manipulated. Press Special Action again to drop the items. Standing on an object and raising it allows you to reach higher areas. Psychokinesis can create a path by moving surrounding objects to access a new area by holding down the Right Trigger while standing on a marked target.
  8. 8
Silver's Psycho Smash: Press the Attack button to push away nearby objects. Holding the Attack button longer makes the object travel further. If used while manipulating objects, they will be hurled one by one. Picking up an object with Special Action and throwing it by pushing the Attack button is possible. This move next to an enemy paralyzes it, allowing you to throw the enemy.
  9. 9
Silver's Hold Smash Upgrade: Hold the Attack button, then release to hurl all levitating objects in the same direction at once. This upgrade is named Single-Layered Extreme and costs 200 Rings. It is available before Act 2: Tropical Jungle.
  10. 10
Silver's Psychokinesis All Upgrade: Press Special Action twice to use Silver's psychokinetic power to manipulate everything, picking up more things at once. This move is called "Grab All" in-game. This upgrade is named Power Bracelet and costs 500 Rings. It is available before Act 2: Tropical Jungle.
  11. 11
Silver's Teleport Dash Upgrade: Press the Jump button twice (a slight tap while jumping) for a quick boost forward to avoid taking damage using Silver's teleportation ability. This upgrade is named Heart of Wind and costs 1000 Rings. It is needed for the "Get into the station" town mission before Act 5: Radical Train.
  12. 12
Silver's Psycho Shock Upgrade: Hold the Attack button while jumping, then release to paralyze nearby enemies and manipulate them like other inanimate objects. Throwing any enemy, even a multi-hit enemy, will kill it instantly. Most enemies can be thrown into other enemies. This upgrade is named Shock Bracelet and costs 1500 Rings. It is needed to get into Act 4: White Acropolis.
  13. 13
Blaze's Accelerator Tornado: Press the Jump button during a jump for a lateral mid-air spin to reach higher areas and attack enemies as you land. This is a small double jump combined with an attack.
  14. 14
Blaze's Fire Claw: Tap the Attack button for a homing attack on enemies ahead. This move has less range than Sonic's or Shadow's Homing Attack but can be repeated. Sometimes, tapping the X button a lot hits the enemy more than once. Letting her flip first before tapping again sometimes works best. When no enemies are around, pressing the Attack button while standing still, running, or jumping makes Blaze spiral forward as a dash.
  15. 15
Blaze's Spinning Claw: Hold the Attack button, then release to spin along the ground in a ring of fire, destroying enemies in your path. The faster you are moving, the faster she will move. Press Attack again to stop this attack or let it stop on its own.
  16. 16
Amy's Double Jump: Press the Jump button during a jump to launch a second jump from mid-air to reach higher areas.
  17. 17
Amy's Hammer Attack: Tap the Attack button from a standstill to attack enemies directly ahead with the Piko-Piko Hammer.
  18. 18
Amy's Invisibility: Hold the Attack button to become invisible to enemies for a short time. You can only see Amy's shadow, and it doesn't last long. She is frozen for a couple of seconds afterward.
Tips
  • For Sonic's surface escape, try turning a corner or climbing to the top if pressing jump doesn't work immediately.
  • Sonic's third punch combo has a large radius for damaging ground enemies.
  • Silver's Levitate consumes the Action Gauge quickly; refill it by not using psy moves or collecting Light Cores/Chaos Drives.
  • Use Silver's Psychokinesis to create paths or reach higher areas by manipulating objects.
  • Silver's Psycho Smash can paralyze and then throw enemies.
  • The Shock Bracelet upgrade for Silver allows you to throw paralyzed enemies, instantly killing them and enabling them to be thrown into other enemies.
  • Blaze's Fire Claw works best when you let her flip before tapping the Attack button again.
  • For Blaze's Spinning Claw, a running start allows for rapid movement.
  • Amy's Invisibility is very short-lived and leaves her vulnerable afterward.
