This guide contains basic information such as moves, items, descriptions of town areas, and lists of missions, gold medal requirements, sound test, and theater room. It also features full walkthroughs for Sonic's, Silver's, Shadow's, and the Last Episodes, which are the most crucial parts of the guide. The guide is missing full descriptions of all Town Missions and all 380 Silver Medal Locations, though it does include locations, names, and basic info for Town Missions and some of the more difficult Silver Medals.

Updates:

• 1.2: Added PlayStation 3 info, fixes and clarifications for moves, noted ramps that lead to abysses, improved walkthrough formatting, added a Downloadable Content section, and included boss shortcuts.
• 1.25: Moved the List of Questions into the guide proper, included it in the Table of Contents, moved Version History to the end, updated Knuckles' and Blaze's moves, added a language option question and an achievements question, corrected errors regarding the Sky Gem and a tip for Sonic's White Acropolis ramp, and added more PS3 differences and news about upcoming downloadable updates.
• 1.26: Attempted to clarify Blaze's Homing Attack and added a note about Rail Grinding Controls.
• 1.261: Updated Downloadable Content information; Very Hard Mode is now available in the U.S. and Europe.
• 1.262: Fixed Downloadable Content and Achievements info mistakes, clarifying that Very Hard Mode is not yet available for PS3 in the U.S./Europe and correcting confusion between Gamer Points and Microsoft Points. Added a question about Sonic's Wave Ocean.
• 1.27: Included information about the new Downloadable Content, Team Attack Amigo, and a new section for Fun Glitches.
• 1.28: Added information about the Boss Attack Downloadable Content. The author notes they no longer own the game.
