Basic Moves:

  1. Light Dash: Purchase the "Light Chip" for 100 Rings. Available from the beginning of the game after completing the "Winder of a Shoemaker" Mission. Tap the Attack button near a path of Rings to soar through them. This upgrade is required to enter Act 1: Wave Ocean.
  2. Bound Jump: Purchase the "Bounce Bracelet" for 2000 Rings. Available before Act 6: Radical Train. While jumping over an enemy or breakable ground, tap the Attack button to attack vertically downward, bouncing higher. This can be repeated to bounce even higher. Be cautious, as this can interfere with collecting suspended Rings.
  3. Sliding Attack: Purchase the "Antigravity" for 500 Rings. Available to continue the story and enter Act 2: Dusty Desert. Hold the Attack button while running, then release to slide through multiple enemies. The attack stops by pressing the Attack button again or eventually on its own.

Custom Moves (Activated with Special Action Button):

These abilities are unlocked by purchasing Gems and can be cycled through using the D-pad. They cannot be used during Princess Stages, Super Speed Areas, or Boarding.

  1. Green Gem (Tornado): Purchase for 5000 Rings before the Kingdom Valley level. Creates wind to attack surrounding enemies.
  2. Red Gem (Slow): Purchase for 5000 Rings before the Kingdom Valley level. Slows the flow of time in the immediate area by holding the Special Action button. This also affects the game clock and camera movement.
  3. Blue Gem (Mach Speed): Purchase for 7000 Rings before the Kingdom Valley level. Enables a Supersonic Boost Dash that can be steered.
  4. White Gem (Homing Smash): Purchase for 8000 Rings before the Aquatic Base level. Allows Sonic to stop in mid-air and perform a Homing Attack.
  5. Sky Gem (Gun Drive): This custom action allows you to throw a Gem and teleport to that location by holding the Special Action button, entering a first-person aiming view.
