    Wave Ocean: Use Chaos Spear on the four pillars around the fountain to reveal the Scepter of Darkness. Return towards the start of the level and find a spring near the water to cross. The mission is "Provide Backup for E-123 Omega!". Navigate Glider, Buggy, and Hovercraft sections. Find a cave near the beach, press a switch inside to open another cave. The Goal Ring is over the water, reachable by Hovercraft.

    Town Mission #15: Mission Name: "Destroy the Enemies Invading from the Desert!". Support characters Rouge and Omega follow. Destroy monsters before they kill a person. Focus on Worms for S-rank points.

    Dusty Desert: The mission is "Find the Chaos Emerald!". Use the Hovercraft. Follow pillars in the sandy first part; they guide you and open the way forward. Avoid touching wavy sand. Platforms retract, but a small ledge remains. In the large sand room with Omega, after pushing a switch, return the way you came; more pillars will appear past the checkpoint. Homing Attack the brown horizontal bars in the last wavy sand room.

    Mephelis Phase 2: Mission Name: "Defeat Mephelis!". Support characters Rouge and Omega follow. First, avoid falling objects. Second, defeat giant shadow creatures by hitting their glowing pink core with Chaos Spear to stun, then finish with Homing/Chaos Attack. When the Action Gauge is full, use Chaos Boost to expose Mephelis. Attack him as much as possible. He creates clones; the camera focuses on the real one. If the gauge empties, you must defeat more creatures. For the last hit, use Homing Attack near a clone and Chaos Snap to reach Mephelis at the top.

This act is split into 7 parts, one for each character (Tails, Omega, Knuckles, Silver, Rouge, Amy, Shadow), with each character finding a Chaos Emerald in a distorted version of a regular Act. Giant eyeballs appear; purple ones are magnetic and deadly, orange ones are deadly.
Tips
  • Wave Ocean: The Glider part is easy. Find a cave near the beach after the Omega section to find a switch that opens another cave.
  • Dusty Desert: The sand waves will push you back to the beginning. Solid sand on the bottom kills you. Piles of sand on solid ground are safe. The platforms that move in and out of walls have a small ledge. In the large sand room with Omega, more pillars appear after the checkpoint. Use Homing Attack on brown bars in the last wavy sand room.
  • Mephelis Phase 2: For S-rank, defeat Mephelis the first time before your Action Gauge runs out.
  • Last Episode: The main difficulty in all 7 parts is the giant eyeballs.
  • Hard Mode Tip (Wave Ocean): The switch near the end is in a raised area on the beach.
  • Hard Mode Tip (Dusty Desert): The switch is behind a vase to the right of the room's entrance.
