ACT 4: FLAME CORE

BOSS 2: IBLIS PHASE 2

    You are on platforms floating in lava. Iblis is in the distance behind three orb lights on platforms.

    Avoid flaming rock attacks by jumping between platforms.

    More platforms will fall, allowing you to reach the lights. Use Homing Attack or Chaos Spear on a light to activate it, or throw flaming rocks if near a light.

    When Iblis is attracted to the light, Homing Attack his head.

    After a hit, Iblis will send down more platforms, destroying those closest to him. Wait for more platforms to appear.

    When his health bar is low, stay far from Iblis. He will charge differently; avoid his path. He will knock himself out in the middle of the platforms, allowing for a final hit.

BOSS 3: MEPHELIS PHASE 1

    Attack the small black creatures around you until your Action Gauge is full. Activate Tornado to kill many at once. If one latches on, keep moving to destroy it before it explodes.

    When the Action Gauge is full, activate Chaos Boost, and Mephelis will emerge from Shadow's shadow.
  3. 3
    If Mephelis is attacking, he will let his guard down, allowing you to use Chaos Attacks.

    Omega appears and you must keep attacking Mephelis, ignoring shadow creatures. Use Omega Shot until Mephelis is defeated.

    S-rank Tip: Defeat Mephelis as soon as possible before the Action Gauge runs out. During the Omega part, focus on Mephelis; Rings are not very important.
Tips
  • When in the hovercraft, be careful of falling towers.
  • You can exit the hovercraft and get to some platforms you see around you, but you don't have to, you need to head through a tunnel to continue on.
  • To get on ropes, Homing Attack them. To properly move about on ropes, press left and right.
  • Jump up collapsing staircases to make it much less likely you will fall through. There will still be a small ledge at the edge you can stand on if it collapses.
