The Whispering Caves

Enter the sewers from Rotwood Outskirts. Save your game and access storage at the desk.

Navigate the sewer path, dealing with green zombies (two knife attacks each).

Solve the liquid balancing puzzle to obtain a medallion.

If playing as Jack, use the medallion to access the Radio Station. If playing as Natalie, access Barlow's Meat Shop.

Radio Station: Solve the wave matching puzzle to unlock a gate and fight a boss. Obtain the Radio Station key.

Barlow's Meat Shop: Find a tape detailing a locker code. Solve the animal skull puzzle (Cow, Deer, Pig, Goat) to open the main shop door. Fight a boss to obtain the Meat Shop Key.

Use the obtained keys to unlock the gates and proceed to Rotwood Downtown.

In Rotwood Downtown, find three altars for three unique canes needed to unlock the gate to Rotwood Cemetery. The canes are located in the Rotwood School, The Crimson Reel, and Bethany’s Curse and Crafts.

Conserve ammunition in Downtown; run past most enemies and save bullets for bosses.

Bethany’s Curse and Crafts: Find parts of a moth, solve a riddle involving portraits (Lovers-Stars, Devil-Sun, Death-Moon), combine the moth parts, and place them on the monument to get the first cane.

Gunderson’s General Store: Find a journal tape and the gun room key. Obtain the grenade launcher. Receive a Ritual Medallion from Zach.

Use the sewer opening tool to enter sewers, defeat green zombies, and find a ladder.

Vincent Rypard’s House: Defeat bloated zombies. Solve an optional puzzle involving portraits (Life, Pain, Death) to access a basement laboratory and manually activate the sewer lift, saving your partner.

The Crimson Reel: Use the Ritual Medallion to enter. Fight numerous zombies. Find the cinema key in Video Outlaw after obtaining a hammer.
