Challenge Tomb 02

Find the Challenge Tomb northeast of the Sawmill. Follow the river to a large crane suspending a log over a blocked hole. Shoot the block holding the log to crash it down, opening a passage. This is Into Darkness Challenge 04/05.

Drop into the cave. Descend to the first lower platform and collect the Magnesite Ore on the right wall. Continue down ledges to the ruins.

In the ruins, find a vein of Magnesite Ore and a Mural [06/12 - Greek] in front of the left passage.

Enter the left passage. Past a gap marked by crosses, find a chest with Relic [04/18 – A Coin of the Realm]. Inspecting it boosts Lara's Greek Language proficiency.

Return to the crosses and leap to the opposite climbing wall. Descend using your pickaxe.

At the bottom, collect Salvage from crates and slide down the ramp.

At the bottom of the ramp, find a chest behind a rock containing Relic [05/18 – Golden Icon].

Go through the right-hand door. At the top of the stairs, jump to the hanging beam. Below, spinning blade mechanisms will activate.

Drop past the spinning blades into the water. Time your drop to avoid the blades, which instantly kill Lara.

Swim to the arched doorway. Climb into the revealed passage as the water level lowers.

Loot a bin for reagents and grab the quiver of Arrows.

In the next passage, shoot the red barrel next to the circular wooden door.

Swim through the new opening to find the 'Cistern Cavern' Base Camp.

Enter the Challenge Tomb. Climb the wall and follow the top of the arches to the right. Jump to the central structure and fall into the water.

Swim past the first waterwheel and into the opening below the second waterwheel.

Climb onto the platform inside. At the top of the stairs, grab the fuel can.

Drop the fuel can by the circular wooden door leaking water. Shoot the fuel can to destroy the door.

Swim back to the main room. Climb the stairs to the left of the main structure's waterwheel.

Grab the quiver of Arrows and note the red fuel cans.

Grab a fuel can and head up the stairs. Jump onto the hanging beam controlling a sluice gate.

Look for the circular wooden hatch on the far wall and a wooden raft. Throw the fuel can onto the raft.

Jump onto the beam to raise the water level. The raft will float to the far side.

Drop from the beam. As the water recedes, the raft floats back. Shoot the fuel can on the raft as it passes the wooden hatch to destroy it. This raises the water level permanently.

Swim through the tunnel behind the destroyed hatch to a sub chamber.

Climb out and find a weak wooden circular hatch above. Climb to the top of the room.

In the uppermost alcoves, find Document [08/26 - Greek] and a chest with reagents. (Collecting all Greek documents, murals, and relics thus far may grant Level 4 Russian proficiency).

Find the tunnel leading to the main chamber opposite the alcove with the document. Grab Salvage and break down the weak wall.

Drop into the water and return to the platform behind the waterwheel with the gas cans.

Grab a gas can, throw it onto the raft, and jump onto the beam to open the sluice gate. Drop off and swim to the raft.

Toss the gas can into the hole in the wall (where you came from the sub chamber) when in range. Swim back into the sub chamber, climb to the top, grab the gas can, and toss it to the area with the weak wooden hatch to destroy it.

Swim through the hole to return to the main chamber. Access the central structure's upper platform.

Collect Salvage, reagents, and interact with the altar to find a Codex, completing the Challenge Tomb [01/03].

Before leaving the main chamber, access two recesses revealed by the raised water level. The left recess contains Document [09/26 - Greek]. The right recess contains Byzantine Coins and an Archivist Map.

Return through the torch-marked door to the Base Camp. Fast travel to 'Sheltered Ridge' Base Camp.
