Gathering Clues

Follow this guide to easily find all the clues in the Gathering Clues section of Rise of the Tomb Raider's Baba Yaga DLC. Learn puzzle solutions and collectible locations.

Alright, let's get started on finding those clues! As soon as you get Lara moving, jump into the water and swim through the waterfalls in front of you. You're looking for a small platform tucked away behind them on the other side of the pool. Hop on it to grab your first collectible: Document [03/21 - Russian].

Now, swim back to where you started and climb up the slope. You'll need to use your pickaxes to scale a few walls to get to the top of this area. Keep an eye out for Document 04 after the first cliff climb.

Once you've reached the top of those scalable walls, immediately turn around. You should see a platform in the distance. Use your grapple axe on the beam hanging above and swing across to it. This is where you'll find Document [04/21]. After you've snagged it, swing back across the gap.

Continue following the path and scramble up the wall nearby. As soon as you're up, make a sharp left. You'll spot a roped-up barrier below a platform with some machinery. Use your Rope Arrows to pull this barrier down and head inside. You'll find Document [05/21 – Russian] sitting on a crate.

Next up, you need to get to the machinery above. In the center of this room, you'll see a vat with gas coming out of it, a lever next to it, and a spinning rope spool behind it. Across from you is a locked gate with another lever. Above the gate, there's a hanging bucket with rope around it. Time for a little puzzle!

First, go to the lever by the locked door and pull it to lower the bucket a bit. Then, head behind the vat to the rope spool. Use a Rope Arrow to attach the bucket to the spool. It'll slowly get pulled into the room. As it gets close to the vat, hit the lever next to the vat. This will open it up, causing an explosion that pushes the bucket through the locked door, opening it up for you!

Head through the now-open door and keep going down the tunnel until you reach a desk. A cut-scene will play, and the book Lara grabs during it counts as Document [06/21]. You've gathered all the clues for now!
