    After a scene, you return to Forgia. Talk to Galva to receive the sidequest [The Beast God's Birth]. Forgia's shops have unique mid-chapter inventories; purchase the recommended equipment listed below.

    At the village entrance, talk to Bergas to the right to receive the sidequests [Gafka & the Scrolls] and [The Ultimate Skill].

    Use the Strongman Book found earlier and talk to Bergas again. Have Gafka fight him; one Sky Hammer Mana Burst will defeat him, teaching Gafka the Musou skill (10 hits, center enemy only).

    Leave Forgia and return to Skalla for more scenes.

    Before heading to the Sand Fortress, find Vanoss on the upper left side of Skalla. Talk to him to complete the [Wandering Soul] sidequest and receive the CLEANSING CAPE (DEF+30/MDF+36/MAG+5, sellable).

    Talk to Rosch to begin the invasion of the Sand Fortress.

    In the Sand Fortress, fight enemies to gain experience, especially for Rosch and Gafka. Rosch's Cross Spike can be useful against Auto Defenders. Head straight up the middle to the third floor, then go right and up the stairs. Replace Gafka with Aht.

    Meet the commander.

Boss Fight: Cannon x2, Thaumaton

  • Weaknesses: Fire, Lightning
  • Strategy: Use a Magic Herb on Stocke and cast Heat Blade to defeat the two Cannons. Use a Magic Herb on Aht, set up Volt Star Traps, and Grapple the Thaumaton onto them.
  1. After the battle, Bergas prompts a decision. Choose "Bring back now" to unlock the [At Journey's End] sidequest. The plot proceeds the same regardless of choice.
  2. At the [Forbidden Weaponry node], talk to Rosch and join the meeting. Choosing "Accept the truce" unlocks the [Divine Judgement] ending.
  3. Before moving on, return to the "Gafka & the Scrolls" node and head to Skalla. Talk to Marco by the item shop. If prerequisites are met, you'll receive the [At Journey's End] sidequest. (Note: One prerequisite occurs after this point but affects it retroactively).
  4. Talk to Raynie by the inn. Choosing "I'll stop fighting" unlocks the [Oncoming Calamity] ending.
