Part 18

Initial Area: Focus on defeating the evil monks first, using the Painkiller weapon to conserve ammo. Collect gold from barrels and coffins. Proceed to Checkpoint 1.

Checkpoint 1: Continue fighting monks and collecting gold from containers. Pick up armor and move to Checkpoint 2.

Checkpoint 2: Be cautious of rolling flaming barrels and more evil monks. Collect gold while fighting. After clearing the area, run upstairs and hide behind pillars. More monks and barrels will appear from upper hallways. Collect gold from barrels, but leave intact ones until all enemies are dealt with. Shoot vases in front of the statue for gold, and collect other vases against the dark wall for more gold and ammo. Proceed to Checkpoint 3.

Checkpoint 3 (Main Cathedral Room): Confront the Vamp Max miniboss, psychonuns, and falling rubble. Mega ammo packs are available on either side, with more ammo and barrels in surrounding corridors. Prioritize eliminating the psychonuns first, as they can fire flames. Use constant movement and the shotgun. If you've collected enough souls from previous enemies and the current ones, you may be able to achieve Demon Morph to defeat the Vamp Max in one shot. Otherwise, clear remaining minions and use stakes against the Vamp Max, utilizing cover from arched corridors. Be careful not to go past the next checkpoint before activating it. Proceed to Checkpoint 4.

Checkpoint 4: In this tight but easy area, pick up health and ammo under the stairs. Use the shotgun to clear the monks from the staircase room. Destroy vases against the side wall and on the stairs. Move up to the upper levels where more monks spawn.
