Explore the exciting new story, PAX subclasses, Tarya Gratar endgame, Ascension Points, and Apocalypse Tiers in Outriders: Worldslayer. Your ultimate guide awaits!

Alright, so you've heard about Outriders: Worldslayer, huh? It's a pretty big expansion that really doubles down on the endgame stuff, which was a bit of a rough spot for the original game. Think of it as a massive overhaul designed to keep you hooked long after you've finished the main story. Let's break down what's actually new and exciting in this expansion.

New Story

Remember how you landed on Enoch in the base game, looking for valuable data and then finding out you're basically mercenaries? Well, Worldslayer picks up right where that left off. You'll be venturing into even more parts of Enoch, but be warned – the enemies are tougher this time around. It's more of the same core narrative, but with new challenges and environments to explore.

New Skills (PAX Subclasses)

Now, they didn't add any entirely new classes, but they did give each of the existing ones – Pyromancer, Devastator, Technomancer, and Trickster – two new subclass paths called “PAX”. You'll earn the skill points for these new trees as you play through the new Worldslayer content. It's a cool way to shake up your builds and try out new playstyles without having to start from scratch with a new character. Here’s a quick rundown of the new PAX skill trees:

ClassSkill Trees
PyromancerGunblazer and Pyromaniac
DevastorWrecker and Tectonic
TechnomancerDesolator and Overseer
TricksterSpecter and Exploiter

New Endgame Activities: Trial of Tarya Gratar

Once you've wrapped up the Worldslayer main story, the real grind begins with the Trial of Tarya Gratar. This is basically a massive dungeon packed with new enemies, including nasty Assassin Shadowbeasts. The cool part is that you can make choices within the Trial that lead you down different paths to unexplored Troves. These Troves are where you'll find some seriously good loot, like the new Apocalypse Gear, which is a game-changer because it comes with a third mod slot. More mods mean more powerful builds, so this is where you'll be spending a lot of your endgame time.

Ascension Points

Hitting Level 30 unlocks the Ascension Leveling System, which is pretty similar to Diablo's Paragon system. Basically, as you keep playing, you'll fill up a meter, and once it's full, you get an Ascension Point. You can then invest these points into four core stats: Brutality, Prowess, Anomaly, and Endurance. Each of these stats has five different options you can level up, with a cap of 10 points per option. You can earn a total of 200 Ascension Points, and the best part? You can respec your points at any time with zero cost if you feel like you've made a mistake or want to try a different build.

Apocalypse Tiers

Forget the old Challenge Tiers from the base game; Worldslayer introduces Apocalypse Tiers. There are 40 of these tiers to climb, and each one cranks up the difficulty while also increasing the maximum Gear Level you can obtain. This is your main progression system for gearing up in the endgame, pushing you to constantly improve your character and gear to tackle higher tiers.
