Where to Find Uranium

Find Uranium in no mans sky by mining radioactive planets or refining materials. Used for Launch Thrusters, crafting, and upgrades.

The primary source for Uranium in no mans sky is from rock deposits found on planets with radioactive environments. You can check if a planet has Uranium as a primary or secondary element by scanning it from your starship before landing. Once on the planet, use your Analysis Visor to inspect rocks; if Uranium is present, it will be listed as a Primary or Secondary Element.

Uranium is most commonly needed to fuel the Launch Thruster on your starship. Having a good supply in your inventory makes refueling on the fly much easier than crafting Launch Fuel. You can gather enough Uranium from radioactive planets within about 30 minutes of mining. Beyond refueling Launch Thrusters, Uranium is also used to craft the Autonomous Mining Unit, Exocraft Summoning Station, Health Station, flora like Gamma Weed, alloy metal like Lemmium, and upgrade modules such as the Megawatt Heater, Positron Ejector, and Radiation Deflector.

Other Sources of Uranium:

Mineral Extraction Hotspots can be used for a more industrial scale of Uranium extraction. You will need the Survey Device upgrade for the Analysis Visor to identify a hotspot that yields Uranium. Once identified, you can continuously extract Uranium and store it in Supply Depots.

Refining Uranium:

Uranium can also be produced by refining other materials. The following recipes are available:

• 2 Phosphorus + 1 Ferrite Dust = 1 Uranium
• 2 Phosphorus + 1 Pure Ferrite = 1 Uranium
• 2 Gamma Root + 1 Salt = 1 Uranium
• 1 Radon + 1 Di-hydrogen = 1 Uranium
• 1 Radon + 1 Ferrite Dust = 1 Uranium
• 1 Radon + 1 Pure Ferrite = 2 Uranium
• 1 Radon + 1 Magnetised Ferrite = 3 Uranium
