Unlocking New Items and Weapons

Rescuing Charles: Inspect the files on the whiteboard to find the "The End (5/8) - Robot Puppets" File. Interact with the large life support device and then the computer to its right. Read all files on the PC desktop, paying attention to the diagram on the far right for a code clue. Return to the far left of the lab and interact with the chain console control panel. Adjust the height of the coloured lamps to match the diagram from the computer by pressing the first three buttons a specific number of times: purple/orange button twice, yellow/green button once, and blue button twice. This will reveal stairs leading down. In the Secret Corridor, examine the courier clothes if desired, then enter the doorway at the far left. In the secret room, examine the diary and then the Beta Type Consciousness Transmission Device to find the "The End (6/8) - The Research Information of Consciousness Transmission Device" File. Speak with Charles, then grab the Crowbar from the far right of the room. Use the Crowbar on Charles' holding cell door to unlock the "The Story of Rescuing the White Mustache" Trophy/Achievement.

Decision Time: You will be presented with two questions. The first answer has no impact, but the second choice determines which of two Achievements you will unlock. You cannot get both in one playthrough without reloading a save.

Turn it off: Choosing to "Turn off the equipment" unlocks the "The Liberation" Trophy/Achievement and the "The End (7/8) - The History Between Edward and Luna" File.

Keep it on: Choosing to "Leave the equipment on" unlocks the "The Benevolence" Trophy/Achievement. You will not be able to unlock one of the endgame Files.

The Final Confrontation: Regardless of your choice, head back down to the secret room where you rescued Charles. There is no turning back once you descend the stairs.
