Rescuing Charles: Inspect the files on the whiteboard to find 'The End (5/8) - Robot Puppets'. Interact with the large life support device and then the computer. Examine all files on the PC desktop, especially the diagram on the far right, which is a clue for a code. Return to the far left and interact with the chain console control panel. Adjust the colored lamps to match the diagram: press the purple/orange button twice, the yellow/green button once, and the blue button twice. The reset button is on the far right. This will reveal stairs leading down. In the Secret Corridor, examine the courier clothes. Enter the doorway at the far left into another secret room. Examine the diary and then the 'Beta Type Consciousness Transmission Device' to find 'The End (6/8) - The Research Information of Consciousness Transmission Device'. Speak with Charles, then grab the Crowbar from the far right of the room. Use the Crowbar on Charles' holding cell door to free him and unlock the 'The Story of Rescuing the White Mustache' Trophy/Achievement.

Decision Time: You will be presented with two questions. The first answer has no impact. The second answer determines which of two Achievements you unlock. You cannot get both in one playthrough without reloading. One of the choices also unlocks a missable endgame File.

• Turn it off: Choosing to 'Turn off the equipment' unlocks 'The Liberation' Trophy/Achievement and 'The End (7/8) - The History Between Edward and Luna' File.

Keep it on: Choosing to 'Leave the equipment on' unlocks 'The Benevolence' Trophy/Achievement. This choice prevents you from unlocking one endgame File.

The Final Confrontation: Head back down to the secret room where you rescued Charles. There is no turning back once you descend the stairs.
