Walkthrough
- 1Swarmers: Generally weak, found in clusters in narrow passages. A single shot from any weapon can destroy multiple if they are close together.
- Parasite - ONE-SHOT - Found in various tunnels in the Frigate Orpheon during the opening sequence. Weak, amphibian-like, splatters on your visor. Pirates were experimenting with them and Phazon.
- 2Scarab - Common beetle-like enemies found in tunnels in the Chozo Ruins and Phendrana Drifts.
- 3Tallon Crab - Tiny crustaceans found in the Main Ventilation Shaft Section A of Tallon Overworld (part of the crashed Frigate).
- 4Lumigek - Gecko-like enemies found in Crater Tunnel A in the Impact Crater.
- 5Crawlers: Hug floors, walls, and ceilings; their body is usually their only weapon, though some have ranged attacks. Generally not very strong.
- Zoomer - Common gray, spiked, bug-like enemy that clings to walls and ceilings. Found in early Tallon Overworld and always available in the Tallon Canyon room. A few shots from the Power Beam are sufficient.
- 6Geemer - A tougher, red-colored variant of the Zoomer. Cannot be killed with regular beams but can be defeated with a Missile or the Plasma Beam. One can be found in Tallon Canyon near Zoomers.
- 7Seedling - Bright blue enemies that tend to stay in place and fire spines. A group can be found in the Temple Lobby on Tallon Overworld.
- 8Oculus - Black, eye-like enemies with furry legs, found near Morph Ball areas. They are indestructible and exist to impede progress. A pack can be found high on the walls in the Sun Tower in the Chozo Ruins.
- 9Grizby - Dark-colored, beetle-like enemies with hard shells impervious to beams but destroyable with Missiles. Found early in Magmoor Caverns, such as in the Burning Trail and Lake Tunnel.
- 10Triclops - Similar to Grizby but with three prongs. Occupies enclosed spaces. Grabs and tosses Samus or can be tricked into eating Bombs to self-destruct. Found in multiple locations in Magmoor Caverns, like the Triclops Pit.
- 11Crystallite - Crawlers with reflective ice shells, making them invulnerable to most beams. A Missile or Plasma Beam will defeat them. Found in multiple locations in Phendrana Drifts, such as the Phendrana Shorelines.

- 14Predators: Actively attack Samus, ranging from nuisances to major threats.
- Beetle - Brown, about a third of Samus's size, with a nasty bite. About five shots from the Power Beam destroy one. Found in Tallon Overworld and Chozo Ruins, such as the Canyon Cavern.
- 15Plated Beetle - A mini-boss encountered in the Ruined Shrine in the Chozo Ruins. After defeating the Chozo Ruins boss, one is available in the Main Plaza. It has an armored front shell and charges after shifting sides. Strategy: Lock-On, dodge the charge, and attack its exposed rear with Missiles or powerful beams.
