Chapter 5: Rocky Research (Tallon Overworld/Phendrana Drifts)

From the Magmoor Caverns East transport, move through Transport Tunnel B. Drop below the thin bridge over the mist to find a MISSILE EXPANSION (10/49).

In Root Cave, climb the path until you reach a door with a Blast Shield.

In Root Tunnel, scan the Bloodflower and take it out by blowing up nearby Sap Sacs.

In Tallon Canyon, use your Boost Ball to ascend the left side of the half-pipe to a platform. Follow the path to a Sandstone wall and bomb it to enter a tunnel. Continue blasting walls.

Pass through Gully, shooting Zoomers.

In Landing Site, stay on the upper ledge. Move left, hop over gaps, and enter the far door.

In Alcove, jump into the center to collect the SPACE JUMP BOOTS.

Return to Landing Site. Jump down and save at your Gunship if desired. Behind the ship, roll into a low tunnel to find a MISSILE EXPANSION (11/49).

Go to the door next to the waterfall. In Temple Hall, scan the Seedlings on the roof and proceed through the Tangle Weed.

In Temple Security Station, scan the spinning icon for Pirate Data.

Pass through Temple Lobby.

In Artifact Temple, read the Chozo Lore on the walls. Collect the ARTIFACT OF TRUTH (1/12) and scan other totems.

Retrace your steps to the Transport back to Magmoor Caverns.

In Monitor Station, use the Space Jump to reach the top level. Extend the bridge by boosting repeatedly in the Spinner object. Cross the bridge and follow the path to the upper door.

In Warrior Shrine, claim the ARTIFACT OF STRENGTH (2/12).

In Phendrana Shorelines, use the Space Jump to reach floating platforms leading to a temple-like structure.

Navigate Temple Entryway.

In Chozo Ice Temple, climb the ledges on the right. Scan the statues and bomb the Shaman statue's bust with a Missile. Use Spring Ball to enter the slot and activate it with a Bomb to open the gate.

In Chapel Tunnel, bomb breakable boxes below pillars to advance through the ball course.

In Chapel of the Elders, defeat the four Baby Sheegoths and the larger Sheegoth. The trick to defeating the Sheegoth is to get close, circle it, and attack when it attempts to breathe ice. After the fight, collect the WAVE BEAM.

Exit the chapel and use the Wave Beam to destroy Bombu enemies.

Return to Phendrana Shorelines and use the Space Jump Boots to reach the high up door on the right.

In Ice Ruins West, enter the structure near the entrance. Use Space Jump to climb inside. Slam a Missile into the base of a low-hanging stalactite to create a stepping stone. Cross ruin roofs towards the purple door.
