Walkthrough
- 1From the Landing Site, go left of your ship into the water and down into a cave leading to the Waterfall Cavern.
- 2Enter the Frigate Crash Site. Defeat the Beetles and Flying Pirates.
- 3In the water, locate and acquire the MISSILE EXPANSION (25/49) to your left.
- 4Continue towards the frigate in the water. Find rocky steps leading up to the right, marked by a Jelzap.
- 5At the end of the steps, roll under a small tunnel.
- 6Climb out of the water near the white door leading inside the frigate.
- 7Enter the Frigate Access Tunnel and roll through the small tunnel, then pass through the door.
- 8In Main Ventilation Shaft Section C, drop to the bottom and roll through the collapsed tunnel.
- 9In Main Ventilation Shaft Section B, destroy the two Auto Turrets. Use the Thermal Visor (a tool that allows you to see heat signatures) to find an unpowered door's power conduit. Shoot it with the Wave Beam (a weapon type) to activate the door. Pass through this door and the next.
- 10In Main Ventilation Shaft Section A, run past the Tallon Crabs (a new enemy type) to the next room. Scan the Tallon Crab for a new entry in your Scan Visor (a device that provides information).
- 11In the Reactor Core, defeat the Aqua Pirates (a new enemy type). Scan the Aqua Pirate for a new entry. The only other door is unpowered. Activate your Thermal Visor and scan for four power conduits. Tag all four with the Wave Beam to open the door. Three conduits are near the door, and the fourth is across the room. Scan the Aqua Pirate for a new entry.
- 12In Reactor Core Access, use the Save Station (a terminal to save your progress). Shoot the two Power Conduits with the Wave Beam to open the door.
- 13In Cargo Freight Lift to Deck Gamma, use a Missile on the lift's door to get the ENERGY TANK (9/14). Activate your Thermal Visor and Wave Beam the conduit near the lift. Hop up platforms, look behind you, and Wave Beam the second conduit. Climb the shaft using platforms, avoiding Aqua Reapers (a new enemy type). At the top, Wave Beam the final conduit to activate the door.
- 14Proceed through Deck Beta Transit Hall.
- 15In Biohazard Containment, destroy the two Auto Turrets and the Aqua Drones (a new enemy type) below. Scan an Aqua Drone for a new entry. Activate your Thermal Visor. There are two conduits above the water and one below. Acquire the MISSILE EXPANSION (26/49) in the water. Scan the doors and use a Super Missile (a powerful missile type) on the examinable door. Exit through the door in the water.
- 16Proceed through Deck Beta Security Hall, avoiding Aqua Reapers.
- 17In Biotech Research Area 1, defeat the three Aqua Pirates. Activate three power conduits: two on the lower level and one on the upper level, using the Wave Beam to open the door across the room.
- 18Proceed through Deck Beta Conduit Hall, avoiding Aqua Reapers.
- 19In Connection Elevator to Deck Beta, drop down and head through the next door, minding the Aqua Sacs (a new enemy type). Scan the Aqua Sac for a new entry.
- 20In Hydro Access Tunnel, use Bomb Jumps and Spring Ball (a morph ball ability) to navigate the ball course. To get the ENERGY TANK (10/14) at the top of the shaft, perform multiple Spring Ball/Bomb Jumps, setting bombs just before losing upward momentum. Repeat three times. Exit to the right via Spring Ball.
- 21In Great Tree Hall, defeat the Jelzaps (a new enemy type) and climb out of the water. A Transport (a device for fast travel) goes to Chozo Ruins South. Head through the white door at water level.
- 22Proceed through Transport Tunnel E, avoiding the Phazon (a hazardous substance).
- 23Head down into the Transport to Phazon Mines East.
Tips
- The Orpheon area has been repurposed and turned on its side, filled with water.
- While there's nothing critical within the wreckage itself, it's a necessary path to progress.
- Remember to use the Thermal Visor to locate hidden power conduits.
- The Wave Beam is essential for activating many doors and mechanisms in this area.
