Hey there! So, you've stumbled upon the "Born From Chaos" quest, huh? It's a tough one early on, but totally doable if you know what you're doing. Think of this as your buddy giving you the lowdown on how to take down this Chaos Infused Zomok. We'll get you through it!

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Difficulty: 3*
  • Location: Warehouse District
  • HP: +120 (This is a stat boost from the reward, not the boss's HP)
  • Strength: +12 (Reward stat boost)
  • Magic: +10 (Reward stat boost)
  • Weaknesses: Primarily Wind-based attacks from the boss. Focus on Thunder-imbued abilities for your offense.
Walkthrough
  1. 1
Preparation is Key: Before you even step into the fight, make sure you've got your gear and abilities sorted. You'll want to equip as many Thunder-imbued abilities and spells as possible. Specifically, the Electronica schema is great for this, with Thundara on Passion Rouge and Sparkstrike on Nocturne. Don't forget to equip the Thunderbird Bracelet and the Stormbane Choker – Zomok's attacks are mostly Wind-based, so these will seriously help you out. The Battleaxe of the Believer is also a good shout.
  2. 2
Opening Moves: As soon as the fight starts, your priority is to debuff Zomok with Deshell and Deprotect. While you're doing that, keep an eye on its attacks and guard them. Honestly, its attacks are pretty slow, so you should be able to perfect guard them without too much trouble.
  3. 3
First Stagger Attempt: Once you've debuffed it, switch to your Electronica schema and start blasting it with Thunder spells. If you see Zomok winding up for Stormfront, which is one of its big Wind attacks, quickly switch to the schema you equipped with the Stormbane Choker to drastically reduce the incoming damage.
  4. 4
Maximizing Stagger: By this point, Zomok's Stagger Wave should be turning red. Now's the time to switch to your Nocturne schema and go to town with Sparkstrike. This should stagger it. If your debuffs have worn off by now, quickly reapply Deshell and Deprotect, then keep hammering it with Thunder abilities to push it into level two of its stagger. It'll be pretty much out of commission at this stage.
  5. 5
Overclock for Damage: With Zomok staggered and weakened, switch to your Nocturne schema and unleash Overclock. This move can take off a massive chunk of its HP, so use it wisely!
  6. 6
Surviving Heavenly Storm: Zomok will eventually get back up and often unleashes Heavenly Storm. You absolutely MUST switch to the schema with the Stormbane Choker equipped to block this. If you've got Guard Level 2, you can pretty much just hold guard and block all the damage until it's over.
  7. 7
Dealing with Stampede: After Heavenly Storm, Zomok gets a bit more aggressive and might use Stampede. Don't worry, you can usually get a perfect guard on this too, which will send it right back into another stagger.
  8. 8
Finishing Blow: Resume your assault on its Stagger Wave, keeping up the pressure with your Thunder attacks. When you stagger it again, unleash another Overclock. This should be enough to finish it off for good!
  • Gil Obtained: 6000
  • Item(s) Obtained: Brigand’s Tricorne, Pendragon
  • Stat Boosts: HP +120, Strength +12, Magic +10
Tips
  • The Thunderbird Bracelet and Stormbane Choker are your best friends in this fight, seriously. Don't skip equipping them!
  • Perfect guarding is crucial here. Practice it if you need to; it makes a huge difference.
  • Don't be afraid to switch schemas on the fly to adapt to Zomok's attacks and to maximize your damage during staggers.
  • The image showing how to avoid Heavenly Storm by walking to the edge of the battlefield is a good visual cue if you're struggling to block it.
