Learn all about Power in Havendock! Understand how it's generated, consumed by buildings, stored, and how to manage your Power levels to keep your base running smoothly.

Power Explained

Hey there! So, you're diving into Havendock and wondering about this 'Power' thing? It's a pretty crucial resource, kind of like the lifeblood of your underwater base. You'll first run into it when you start exploring beneath the waves.

You can easily keep an eye on your current global Power level. Just look to the left of the 'People' meter at the top right of your screen – you'll see a green lightning bolt symbol. That's your Power meter!

How Power Works

Think of Power like this: some buildings create it, and others use it up. It all gets stored in a big, shared pool for your whole world. In-game, you'll see Power represented as ⚡/s (Power per second). For example, a generator might show ⚡+1/s, meaning it's producing one Power per second, while a building might show ⚡-1/s, meaning it's consuming one Power per second.

When you start out, your world has a Power storage of ⚡100. If you're generating more Power than you're using, the extra Power goes into storage, up to a certain limit. You can increase this storage limit by building more Power Storage structures.

Here's the important part: if your global Power consumption ever becomes greater than your production, the game starts pulling Power from your storage. If that storage hits zero, any buildings that need Power will just stop working. So, keeping a good Power balance is key!
