Food & Drink Mechanics

Getting Milk

Need milk for your settlers or recipes? You'll want to head over to Cow Island. There, you can purchase cows from the farmer. Once you have cows, you'll need to build Barns for them. These Barns act as both the input for your cows (where they produce milk) and the output for you to collect it. Keep in mind that you'll need to manage your cow population and potentially purchase more if your needs grow.

Obtaining Cotton

Cotton is another key resource. You can get it in a couple of ways:

• Scavenging Tents: Set up scavenging tents and assign settlers to collect materials. This is a reliable way to gather various resources, including cotton.
• Moon Island Trader: Once your boat is upgraded, you can visit Moon Island. Look for the trader located around the corner from the dock. They sell cotton seeds. You can then farm these seeds like any other crop. Be aware that you'll need to keep buying seeds from the trader, as there's no other way to get a sustainable supply of them.

• Shift + Right-Click: Use this to place materials into a building (like putting wheat into a mill).
