The Basics

Before you get too deep into building, make sure you've got a handle on the core mechanics. This includes understanding your Hunger and Thirst levels, keeping your settlers happy with good Happiness management, and how Research unlocks new possibilities for your settlement. Don't forget about the importance of Meals for boosting morale and providing energy, and how to manage your growing population of Settlers and even introduce Animals to your island.

Islands

Your journey in Havendock will take you across various islands, each with its own unique resources and challenges. • How do I get cotton? You can set up scavenging tents to collect it, or if you've upgraded your boat, purchase cotton seeds from the trader on Moon Island to farm them. Just a heads-up, you'll need to keep buying seeds as there's no other way to get more.
• How do I insert/extract materials without opening the GUI? Easy! Use Shift + right-click to put items into a building, and Ctrl + right-click to pull outputs (like milk from barns) out. Super handy for quick management!
