Walkthrough

Head to Brok’s Shop. After speaking with him, agree to help his old friend Andvari to start the Favor, Deus Ex Malachite. It’s advisable to explore the islands first before tackling the Favors, as they require more in-depth exploration. Brok’s inventory has also been updated with new items, including Epic armor sets requiring Muspelheim materials, the Plated Völunder and Dwarven Runic sets, an Axe Pommel and Talisman related to Muspelheim, and an Axe Heavy Runic Attack. You can also purchase Soft Svartalfheim Steel with Hacksilver.

After concluding your business at the shop, leave and board the boat at the northeast dock. Row directly north, following the rocks towards the giant oarsman statues until you find a beach to dock at.

On the beach, you will encounter several Fire Nightmares (Levels 4-5). After defeating them, you will find a Mystic Gateway and the Treasure Map: Island of Light.

To the right of the boat, climb a ledge to access a cave. Inside, you’ll find Sindri’s shop (ignore him for now). Scale the wall, turn right to find a sack of Hacksilver on a corpse, and then continue scaling the wall to open a Hacksilver chest at the top. Proceed through the large doors to enter the Council of Valkyries.

In the Council of Valkyries, jump the gap ahead. Turn around and look into the gap to find a bomb you can strike with your axe. Continue along the path, open the Hacksilver chest, and drop down to the area below. Activate the Mystic Gateway. Return to the ledge you climbed earlier and head right to access a coffin.

Leave the Council of Valkyries area, take the zipline down, and return to the boat. Row east to find a Yggdrasil’s Dew of Strength hanging from a branch before docking at the beach to the left of it.

The ledge in front of you is blocked by debris. Shoot the nearby Shatter Crystals with a Shock Arrow to clear the path and climb the ledge. To your right, you’ll find a Realm Tear. This encounter involves two tough Level 6 enemies: a Hel-Walker and a Hel-Viken. Use your Spartan Rage to build up their Stun Gauge or try to knock them off the edge. After defeating them, collect the Dust of Realms and 2500 Hacksilver from the tear.

Turn towards the Oarsman statues to the northwest to spot a Raven perched on top. Climb the ledge and proceed along the path. Look to your right to find Shatter Crystals; hit them with Shock Arrows. Drop back down and follow the newly opened path to a Legendary Chest containing a Niflheim Cipher Piece, which also begins the Realm of Fog Favor. Climb the ledge again and follow the path to a door where the Dragon Fafnir awaits.

Upon entering the area, you automatically begin the Favor, The Flight of Fafnir. Pick up the sack of Hacksilver behind you and open the Hacksilver chest.

Head left and drop down. Fafnir will attack with lightning strikes. Wait for a safe area and dash into the cave to your left. Defeat the Shadow-Reaver and lure any other Shadow enemies into the cave to dispatch them. Locate and destroy the first Dragon Shrine to the northeast.

Tips

Use Shock Arrows to pin down the Nightmares.
Utilize Spartan Rage to build up the Stun Gauge against tough enemies or try to knock them off ledges.
The Council of Valkyries is a location for end-game activities.
