Learn the best strategy to defeat the Ogre Champ and his L'Opera Knight escorts in Eternal Strands. Master their attacks and build Echoes for an easier victory.

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Ogre Champ HP: 45,530
  • L'Opera Knight HP: 1,900

Phases:

  1. The Ogre Champ and two L'Opera Knights appear.
  2. Defeat the L'Opera Knights.
  3. Defeat the Ogre Champ.

Strategy:

  • The Ogre Champ hits hard with his massive sword. Watch out for his two-hit physical attack and the devastating 'Decapitate' move, which can deal around 400 damage. His other close-range attacks, 'Ground Strike' and 'Big Smash,' target a single enemy but have radiating or circling effects.
  • Prioritize the L'Opera Knights! While their individual attacks might not do much damage, they are incredibly annoying and serve a crucial purpose for the Ogre Champ. If you attack the Ogre Champ first and then switch to the knights, he'll use 'Big Gulp' to heal himself. Taking them out first prevents this and helps build up your Echoes.
  • Keep Beat as far back as possible. Have him snap a couple of pictures of the Ogre Champ for any potential quest or collection purposes.
  • Once the knights are dealt with, focus on the Ogre Champ. Stick to his long-range physical attacks and use 'Rapid Shooter' if you have it.
  • Frederic is your go-to for building Echoes quickly due to his fast attacks. Use his Echoes with 'Piu Grave' for good damage.
  • Alternatively, Allegretto can also build Echoes effectively. Use his Echoes with 'Sky Divider' for significant damage against the Ogre Champ.
  • Having three party members makes this battle significantly easier than previous encounters.
  • After defeating the Ogre Champ and his escorts, you'll receive a Long Sword.

Following this battle, your party will find an Agogo. A conversation will lead to everyone agreeing to head towards Forte City.
