Complete Donkey Kong 64 Part 60 walkthrough, including the Big Bug Bash mini-game, King Kut Out boss, and how to get Golden Bananas.
Fly up to the top of the tower where Lanky played his mini-game, go past the top, and land on the second cloud to grab a banana bunch (100). Hop back to the tower and enter the Bonus Barrel.
- 1Enter the Big Bug Bash mini-game.
- 2Use the joystick to move the fly swatter and press A to swat.
- 3Kill ten flies within 60 seconds. Lead your shots and move the swatter irregularly, especially in diagonal directions (northwest, northeast, southwest, southeast).
- 4Once the hit counter reaches zero, you will win.
Drop to the bottom of the tower and head to Snide's. Exchange your blueprint for a GOLDEN BANANA (5). You'll also get a DK Isle GOLDEN BANANA (4) from the Kasplat in the level lobby.
Head to the top of the path and use Bananaport #5, then #4 to reach the greenhouse. Turn around and enter the Troff n' Scoff Portal. Head up the Banana Pad and feed Scoff 100 bananas with Diddy, 100 with Donkey, 100 with Tiny, and 100 with Lanky. The door shows Lanky's face, so head in.
Boss - King Kut Out
Difficulty: 7/10
The Kremlings have built a cardboard imitation of K. Rool. You must use the barrel kannons to blast yourself into it. Each hit damages the display. If you miss or lose all your health, you get a new Kong to use. If you die with your last Kong, you must start over.
- 1Head forward and jump into the glowing barrel kannon.
- 2You will be blasted at the kut out. Quickly swim back to the center platform without getting hurt by the Puftup or lasers.
- 3Dodge another group of lasers, and the kut out will pop up elsewhere. Jump into the glowing barrel kannon again.
- 4Swim back to the center platform, dodging lasers.
- 5Wait for the kut out to pop up again and hit it a third time by jumping into the glowing barrel. One of its arms will fall off.
- 6Swim back to the platform and avoid the lasers.
- 7When the kut out pops up, there will be two versions of K. Rool and two glowing barrels. A Kreepa will also appear on the platform. Avoid it or kill it to refill your health.
- 8Jump into the barrel kannon pointing towards the opaque K. Rool (the fake K. Rool is transparent).
- 9Swim back to the platform and dodge the lasers.
- 10Continue hitting the kut out. After three more hits (nine total), it will lose its other arm.
- 11The kut out moves rapidly. Stand extremely close to one barrel kannon. As soon as the kut out drops down from the position on your right, run into the barrel kannon in front of you.
- 12If timed correctly, the kut out will get hit. Swim back and avoid two rounds of lasers.
- 13Continue hitting the kut out. After three more hits (nine total), its head will fall off.
Go to Bananaport #4 and warp to the bottom. Facing the castle, head right to the winding stairs. Walk down and jump attack over the fence segment between the stone support and another set of stairs leading to a Diddy barrel. This should put you in front of the DK Portal, so exit.
Head down the stairs and over to the other side of the middle tower. Hop into the pit in the floor. You will fall to the ocean. Turn around and head to K. Lumsy's cage and go inside.
- 1Return Boss Key #7 to K. Lumsy. The dinosaur's tantrum causes the mouth of Crocodile Isle to open slightly, then close again.
- 2Approach the cage again to return Boss Key #6.
- In the Big Bug Bash, moving the swatter in irregular directions, especially diagonally, can help hit the fast-moving flies.
- During the King Kut Out boss fight, pay close attention to the transparent (fake) K. Rool and the opaque (real) K. Rool to choose the correct barrel kannon.
- The Kreepa that appears during the later stages of the King Kut Out fight can be killed to refill your health.
- Timing is crucial when hitting the armless King Kut Out; stand close to a barrel kannon and enter it as soon as the kut out drops from the position on your right.
