Part 21

When VTOLs arrive, infiltrate the mine by leading the spearhead.

Recon the quarry pits from above. A tank, APC, and cargo truck will appear from the north.

Destroy the tank with missiles when it stops, then target the APC near shacks and any nearby KPA by shooting the red barrel.

Proceed north from the tank's origin and make a series of armored jumps down.

Resupply your missile launcher from the cache in the depressed area.

Return to the south side of the quarry, staying on the west ledge above the lowest level.

Cloak past two containers and use the cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) of a lone container to snipe the turret gunner and his companion across the chasm.

Engage a tank to the southwest by peeking around the container and firing before it attacks.

Move west on the ledge and snipe enemies below near the truck or KPA trailers to the south.

Descend to the low area and make your way to the supply trailers, staying behind them on the ledge to approach undetected.

Clear the resistance within the trailer (one KPA) and the vicinity (several others).

Enter the trailer, gun down the soldier, and grab the submachine gun or KY71 to conserve Precision Rifle ammo.

Use the trailer's entry as a chokepoint to eliminate remaining KPA.

Regain your Precision Rifle and restock ammo. Collect a missile launcher from a KPA corpse or a cargo bundle near the trailers.

Turn northeast up the grade toward the fortified mine entrance.

Bypass the two unmanned machinegun nests near the mud road and continue north around the stronghold until you see the bulldozer.

Engage enemies by sniping around bundles, targeting the turret gunner to the right of the mine entrance, and then any visible KPA.

Retreat and armor-up when grenades are thrown.

Destroy the machinegun nest on the left side of the entry; additional KPA will re-man the sites.

With four kills, your backup team should arrive.

Use your missile launcher to eliminate KPA at the mine's entry and soften up two nonosuited KPA.

Clear KPA from turrets drawn by the arrival of US Marines, prioritizing nanosuits before entering the mine.

Use the Gauss Rifle with a reflex sight to mop up remaining enemies.

Once the outer area is clear, cloak and enter the mine entrance.

Locate enemies with binoculars; some are on the elevated gallery, others in the wings.

Identify nanosuited KPA and toss a C4 charge into the room near the entry.

Step back and use the Gauss Rifle or Precision Rifle to focus fire on the nanosuit.

Use the doorway as a chokepoint, ducking to recharge or regain health.

When the radar (your minimap with nearby blips and threats marked) indicates enemies approaching, back off, armor-up, and detonate the C4. Repeat with another charge if necessary.

If the nanosuit survives, it will eventually attack.

After the five or six KPA, including the nanosuit, are dead, grab a minigun if your Gauss or Precision Rifle is out of ammo.

Head into the mine and go up the ramp or stairwell into the tunnel.

Follow the tracks, bearing right before the boarded-over tunnel.

Stay cloaked and watch for another nanosuited KPA soldier after the turn.

If cloaked, get out of sightline, lay C4 charges, and lure the nanosuit into them by revealing yourself, or gun it down.

After defeating the nanosuit, make two armored jumps down the elevator shaft and continue east through the tunnel.

Jump the gap onto the board walkway and follow the flares through the tunnels until you hear voices.

During a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically), two nanosuited KPA knock you out. After reviving, you overhear an argument between a hostage and General Kyong about a power source.

An explosion occurs when the artifact is activated, leaving only the hostage, Kyong, and you standing.

Your weapons and ammo are lost. Cloak and go left to take the SCAR and two extra ammo clips.

Take the pistol and its ammo, but leave the shotgun. Toggle the flashlight and laser sighting off to avoid detection by General Kyong.

Avoid General Kyong and try to locate the Precision Rifle. If one of Kyong's nanosuited companions had one and it wasn't lost in the explosion, it may be on the floor east of the central structure on the starting level. Otherwise, a submachine gun might be present instead.

Use the radar to stay away from General Kyong. You can play cat and mouse, stocking up on ammo in the lower area.

You can damage Kyong with the SCAR or by throwing items, which knocks him down. Circle the central structure to stay out of his sightline.

Go up the stairwell onto the catwalk above and grab the Precision Rifle normally found there, or if you already have one...
