Crysis Part 12: Bypass KPA installations, raid munitions, and enter the excavation site dome. Includes Precision Rifle ammo locations.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Clear the marsh and descend the tower. Go south past the gun emplacement, jump the fence, cross the road, and enter the undergrowth to avoid the open marsh.
  2. 2
Move east through the undergrowth until you have a clear view of the southern guard post.
  3. 3
Scout the area and eliminate the KPA gunner in the sandbagged emplacement.
  4. 4
Continue picking off KPA with your sniper rifle as they appear, and be ready to re-engage the turret gunner if they re-man it.
  5. 5
Move in to eliminate any survivors and raid the shack for munitions, including missile launchers and a Precision Rifle.
  6. 6
Continue east toward the objective. You will encounter another small KPA installation near the water in the valley and one south of it.
  7. 7
Bypass these guard posts by heading northwest on the bluff, dropping down, and swimming across the water. Angle towards the trees to the east where the shore is walkable.
  8. 8
Continue northeast towards the excavation site (waypoint (a marker on your map you've manually placed as a destination)).
  9. 9
Approach the site by staying to the far left, alongside the cliffs, to avoid open terrain.
  10. 10
Recharge in the foliage and watch for a two-man KPA patrol in the low area near the site, close to the sniper tower on your right.
  11. 11
Silently take out the two KPA with tranquilizer darts, then finish them off.
  12. 12
Target the sniper in the tower. Your sightline from the low area may be difficult.
  13. 13
Continue up the hillside to the east, staying stealthy until you reach the overlook.
  14. 14
Recon the site from the foliage, creeping northeast. You do not need to engage all KPA in the compound.
  15. 15
Locate the machinegun emplacement near the complex of green KPA modular structures while walking the ridge.
  16. 16
Silently eliminate the machine gunner to remove him from the equation, or sneak behind him.
  17. 17
Recharge in the foliage and jump down. Advance and jump down to the left of the fence behind the gun emplacement.
  18. 18
Turn left (north) and move around to the rear of the modular structures. Enter the unguarded rear entry.
  19. 19
If KPA are present in the long hallway near the dome's entry, use a rifle grenade to clear them.
  20. 20
Turn left and interact with the entry door to enter the dome.

Alternative Approach (for more Precision Rifle ammo or sniping):

  1. After darting the two KPA, continue up the hillside east and follow this procedure instead of the one above.
  2. Stay in cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) in the foliage and silently kill the sniper in the nearby tower.
  3. Drop down from the ridge, recharge in the foliage, jump the rock wall, and get onto the tower.
  4. Recon the complex to locate the two snipers in towers on the far southeast side, the turret gunner to the northeast, and another to the east near the dome. Be aware of patrolling KPA.
  5. Use the silenced SCAR to eliminate the turret gunner to the northeast, then any visible patrolling KPA, including the one near the sandbagged emplacement to the east.
  6. When your presence is known, switch to the Precision Rifle and take out the two snipers in the towers.
  7. Engage responding KPA, using the un-silenced SCAR for closer targets and the Precision Rifle for distant ones. Watch for KPA on the ridge where you initially took out the first sniper.
  8. Once targets are depleted, descend from the tower and carefully make your way toward the other sniper towers.
  9. Be ready to deal with any additional KPA, including the turret gunner to the right who may have remained at his post.
  10. Collect Precision Rifle ammo from the first tower. Continue sniping if necessary.
  11. Power-jump or go around the fence to reach the next tower for more Precision Rifle ammo. Clear the area if needed.
  12. Make your way to the dome at the excavation site by jumping from the tower onto metal rooftops, then going north around the fence, across the open area, and along the mountainside before jumping down into the depressed area encircling the dome.
  13. Enter the dome via the green KPA modular structures. If KPA are near the entry, stay out of sight, equip your missile launcher, and destroy them with missiles, or cloak, jump onto the entry structures, and use the back entrance.
  14. Enter the doorway (front or rear), raid the ammo piles, and restock missiles from the cache near the hallway leading into the dome.

After Entering the Dome:

A (cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically)) shows Dr. Rosenthal warning the General not to open the newly discovered artifact, a 2,000,000-year-old fossil. The General ignores the warning, and an explosion kills Rosenthal. The site is immediately frozen by frigid air. General Kyong is holding the remainder of the excavation team at another site in the mountains.

Tips
  • The terrain provides great sniping platforms.
  • The marsh can be cleared using sniper rifles and missile launchers.
  • Staying in the undergrowth helps avoid crossing open marshland under enemy fire.
  • The Precision Rifle is found in a shack and its ammo is plentiful.
  • It is not necessary to engage every KPA unit; bypassing installations is often possible.
  • Tranquilizer darts can be used to silently neutralize KPA patrols.
  • Using cover in foliage is essential for stealth.
  • The SCAR rifle is effective for closer targets, while the Precision Rifle is better for distant ones.
  • Missile launchers are effective against groups of KPA near the dome entry.
  • Cloaking can be used to bypass enemies and use alternate entry points.
