Alright, let's talk about some Counter-Strike: Source CT tactics, especially as the rounds start to get serious, like around round five. The main thing you gotta nail down is getting your team to the B site safely at the start of the round.

Usually, this means smoking off Mid Doors. Your B squad then needs to either run behind that smoke or straight through it. If you don't smoke Mid, you're basically asking for the Terrorists' AWPer to pick off one or two of your guys before you even get set up, leaving you in a tough 4v5 or worse situation right from the get-go.

Now, if your AWPer *really* wants to take a peek at Mid, don't just chuck a smoke right at Mid Doors. Instead, stand in your CT spawn and look at those boxes on the wall across from you. You can either run up and throw your smoke so it lands right on the corner of the box, or you can stand still and bounce it off the wall behind the box. The idea here is to throw it so you can still run through the smoke towards B ramp, but it leaves Mid Doors open enough for your AWPer to get a clean peek.

For you AWPers who are guarding Long A, try to get a teammate to boost you up onto the site at Elevator. This lets you get to your usual camping spot way faster. It's the same deal for Short A; there's a handy little staircase made of boxes that you can use to boost one or two CTs straight up there.

Over at the B site, your main goal is to keep those chokepoints locked down as much as possible. Toss flashes and smokes into Tunnels to stop Ts from pushing through. You've got a bunch of cover points inside the site, so use them to pick off enemies as they try to come in. Keep in mind, there's pretty much no cover inside that hallway leading directly to the bombsite, so having an AWP or, if you've got the cash, a SCAR-20 is super useful here.

Short A has a bunch of sneaky spots where you can hide and catch enemies off guard. The alcove next to the stairs is a classic. An AWPer can also set up inside the site itself and get shots through the gap between the corner of the building and the pipe running down it.
