Hey there! So, you're diving into Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2, and you've heard the Soviets are all about rushing with tanks? Well, that's only part of the story! It's super important to have a solid defense, especially against those sneaky Soviet tactics. You'll want to keep Attack Dogs in your base – trust me on this, it'll save you a lot of headaches later.

Why dogs, you ask? Because the Soviets sometimes send in Engineers to mess with your power. Imagine your power suddenly going out, and then you notice your Power Plants have flipped to the enemy's side. Before you can even react, your base is getting hammered by Apocalypse Tanks! You absolutely cannot let that happen. So, we're going to set up about 4 to 6 dogs around your base. They're also great for sniffing out spies trying to cause trouble.

Another sneaky move the Soviets pull is with their submarines. They're really stealthy, and if you're not ready, they can bombard your structures with torpedoes until you're wiped out. To counter this, make sure you have a good number of Destroyers patrolling, and escort them with Dolphins to handle any pesky Squids that get too close.

Now, if you happen to be facing an Allied enemy (which, let's be honest, makes the game a bit less fun, but hey, it happens!), your best bet is to dominate the seas. Having the most ships is your key to victory there. Of course, this assumes the battle is mostly on land. If it's a mixed fight, you need to be the king of both land and air. When that happens, build as many Prism Tanks and Harriers as you can. This will give you the firepower to attack your enemy without too much fear of retaliation.
