On Destroy, stand still for 5-10 seconds to avoid immediate elimination from blind tosses.

If feeling confident with sniping, move to the end of a long alley to scan the center or side alleys. The ACOG M16 is a good alternative if sniping isn't preferred.

If no enemies are spotted, observe the minimap (a small map displayed on the HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap), showing enemy and teammate locations) for team engagements or enemy fire.

Take the best approach to flank enemies.

The primary objective is to plant the bomb at position "A", located in the middle of the map or to the left of spawn.

Approach position "A" by sidling under the awning and heading for the small tunnel that goes under the hill.

Pass through the tunnel, work your way back into the building, and clear any enemies defending from elevated positions.

If enemies are encountered in the next alley, flank them and eliminate them quickly and quietly.

If the match is still ongoing and you are carrying the bomb, return along the same route to plant. If not, link up with a teammate who has the bomb and support them.

Plant the bomb at position "A" because it is in the open, allowing clearer visibility of defenders and making passive defenses on the gravelly hills less effective. Prone with your feet facing the back boundary wall and stay moderately behind the objective.

Avoid position "B" for planting due to multiple ambush points.

If defending position "B", take a long route to the objective, funneling enemies through choke points.

Set up defenses where you can watch the plant and the alleys. Consider using claymores to trap alley exits after planting.

Position yourself near the blown-up car, on the no man's land hill, or near the pipe under the hill.

Position "B" is difficult to defend due to potential ambushes from at least three spots. Attempting to flush out these ambushes can lead to your death.

To enter the plant zone at "B", use either of the two openings in the sheet metal fencing or take the stairs to the blown-out building and access the roof shed, though this is risky due to claymores, campers, and skilled players. It is recommended to plant on the hill at "A" unless the enemy proves they can stop you at "B".

On Defense, play aggressively. Use ExCon (Explosive Containment, a type of grenade) with a suppressed weapon and frag grenades.

Blind toss at least one alley, then move into the tunnel to cross the hill, ambush the alley exit briefly, and sweep back around to clear potential snipers.

If the plant occurs on the hill, use the tunnels to assess the defense.

If the plant is at "B", primarily use the route through the blown-out building and drop into the gap between the shed and the wall to flush out hidden enemies.

Be aware that elevated rooms are used for sniping by both sides. Never stand still in the open.

Watch for claymores protecting sniper spots and remain quiet.

Pay attention to the direction of incoming fire. Use a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, a killstreak that reveals enemy positions on the minimap) to locate and flush out snipers.

In summary, aim for quick offense and slow defense. Moderate success can be achieved with one or two capable teammates.

Be wary of "ninjas" at "B", as the bomb can be defused shortly after planting.

As a general practice, look back at the plant site while moving to your cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) spot to ensure no traps have been set.

Plant the bomb in a location where you can fire upon it from multiple cover positions to keep enemies guessing.
