The Gym 3 Bug

When attempting Gym classes, you are meant to follow on-screen instructions to learn new fighting moves. If these instructions disappear and do not re-appear, you may become stuck. Moving around excessively to try and make them reappear can cause the game to crash. The 1.03 Patch fixes this issue.

The Paper Route Bug

During the Paper Route Job, where you toss papers at marked mailboxes across five levels, a glitch can occur around level four. Normally, the aiming reticle (the crosshair used for aiming) appears regardless of distance, allowing you to hit mailboxes from afar. However, this bug causes the aiming reticle to not appear until you are close to the mailbox, making the task harder than intended. The 1.03 Patch fixes this problem.

The New Coventry Errands

After opening the New Coventry area at the beginning of Chapter III, new Errands (side missions) are supposed to appear as you progress through Chapter III and later in Chapter IV. This bug causes these Errands to not appear when they should, or not appear at all until after you complete the mission "Finding Johnny Vincent". This issue is attributed to your game save method. If you use a Memory Unit (internal or external) for saving, the Errands appear correctly. If you use a hard drive for saving, they may not. To circumvent this, open a Safehouse in New Coventry, save to a Memory Unit, turn off your Xbox 360, and reboot. Reloading the save from the Memory Unit should make the Errands appear normally. The 1.03 Patch fixes this problem.

A Broken Errand

An Errand for Algie, known as "Algie's Lost Jacket", is located east of Bullworth Town and is supposed to appear after opening Chapter III, between the Police Station and the Worn-In Clothing Store. This Errand is completely broken and will *NEVER* appear, regardless of game installation method (HDD or USB flash drive) or the 1.03 Patch. This bug is not affected by firmware updates and does not appear in the Xbox One version.

Conclusion

Installing the game to a hard drive or flash drive, updating your Xbox 360 firmware to the latest version, and installing the 1.03 Patch can significantly improve your experience by fixing the Gym 3, Paper Route, and New Coventry Errands bugs. The "Algie's Lost Jacket" Errand remains broken.
