Learn how to manage your Trouble Meter and evade authority in Bully: Scholarship Edition. Pulling the Fire Alarm 20 times earns the Firefighter Helmet.
Walkthrough
- 1Causing Trouble: Certain actions will fill your Trouble Meter, located on the right side of your map (minimap (the small circular map in the bottom-left corner of your screen)) on the HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap). These include pulling the Fire Alarm (20 times for the Firefighter Helmet and 100% completion), stealing a bike or scooter, picking locker locks in the Main Building or Gym Changerooms, and trespassing (e.g., in the Girl's Dorm).
- 2Filling the Meter: Hitting faculty, Prefects, Police, civilians, girls, and Little Kids instantly fills the Trouble Meter. Lockering and Swirlying Prefects also fill it completely.
- 3Evading Capture: If your Trouble Meter is less than two-thirds full, you can attempt to break free if caught by tapping the Y Button quickly. If the meter is past two-thirds full and red, you will be Busted if caught.
- 4Fighting: Press the X Button to punch with fists or a held melee weapon. Press the Y Button to grapple; within a grapple, press X to punch, B to perform ground moves, or Y again to throw opponents. Press Y while pushing someone against a wall to knee them. New moves can be learned in Gym classes or from a Hobo near the Old School Bus (requires collecting Transistors). You can pick up Soda Cans and Weapons from fallen opponents.
- 5Running: When in a disadvantageous situation, you can run away. Toss items like Fire Crackers behind you by pressing the Left Trigger to trip pursuers. You can run indefinitely while your pursuers will eventually tire.
- 6Hiding: To reduce your Trouble Meter and escape pursuers, hide in a Trash Can, a Locker with a Blue Lock Icon, or a Porta-Potty (in town). Your Trouble Meter will empty, allowing safe exit, but ensure pursuers do not see you enter these hiding spots, or they will pull you out.
Tips
- Pulling the Fire Alarm 20 times is required for the Firefighter Helmet and 100% completion.
- If your Trouble Meter is red (past two-thirds full), you cannot break free if caught by an authority figure.
- Melee weapons like Rulers or Baseball Bats break after a few hits.
- Throwing an opponent into another person during a grapple can damage both.
- You can learn new fighting moves from a Hobo by collecting Transistors for him.
