Walkthrough
- 1Return to Sanctuary and speak with Lilith. Before the second conversation, visit Hammerlock for an Epic Pistol and Moxxi for a guaranteed weapon from the slots.
- 2Speak to Lilith again, then go to Roland’s Rest to meet Vaughn.
- 3Grab a vehicle and head back to the turrets. Clear the COV to the west.
- 4Take the stairs to meet Tannis and watch her alter the turrets.
- 5Drive to the Cathedral of the Twin Gods. Follow the road north along the northeastern wall.
- 6Travel up a small hill, taking out two Rocket Towers first. Locate the first Typhon Log at the top.
- 7Drop down and search along the northwestern wall near the COV for a crouch-accessible garage. At the end, mark the Eridian Writing.
- 8Exit the garage and head east to find a Catch-A-Ride.
- 9Go to the platform behind you, find containers leading to a ladder. Climb, turn at the corner, jump across metal girders, then onto a pipe against the wall. Climb the pipe and jump to the platform with the Crimson Radio.
- 10Drop down and follow the road to the door outside the cathedral.
- 11Before following Ava, drop northwest to find a hidden Typhon Log. Beware of a Badass Goliath.
- 12Head back up the ladder, shoot the explosive charge to enter.
- 13Clear the outer defenses inside the cathedral, aided by Atlas soldiers and Ava. Focus on the Badass Goliath to prevent its evolution.
- 14Head along the southern wall to find a garage. Follow stairs and climb a ladder to find the third and final Typhon Log.
- 15To obtain the Dead Drop, backtrack to Fateward Walk from the Outer Sanctum and find a pipe.
- 16Make your way back to the Outer Sanctum and continue west through a pipe to encounter more COV, including a Badass Hag and an Anointed Psycho. Use your Action Skill on the Hag.
- 17Continue west, go under a shutter, and climb crates to your right. Melee a boarded-up door to gain access. Find a Dead Claptrap and a Red Chest.
- 18Return and follow the path west to take out another group of COV.
- 19In the Courtyard of the Damned, take out the Dropship Turret on the right, then the COV in the two towers.
- 20Make your way around anticlockwise, taking out Hags and Bruisers.
- 21At the end of the walkway, a Badass Enforcer will blast through a shutter. Use an Action Skill if available.
- 22Head through the doorway, take out the remaining COV, and flip the switch to open the doors.
- 23Deal with the COV flooding out. Proceed to find Vending Machines.
- 24Take on difficult Anointed enemies, focusing on burning down Rachel quickly. Avoid her Eridium Laser by keeping distance and jumping.
- 25Once enemies are dealt with, raise the processing tank’s pressure by turning valves on the ground. Two more Anointed will spawn after turning the first two valves. Focus on one at a time. Luke is a significant challenge with an Eridium shield.
Tips
- Say your goodbyes to NPCs in Sanctuary before proceeding to the Cathedral of the Twin Gods, as some will offer unique items or advice.
- Be prepared for a variety of enemy types, including Goliaths, Hags, Bruisers, and Anointed.
- Utilize your Action Skill strategically, especially against tougher enemies like Badass Goliaths, Badass Enforcers, and Anointed.
- Keep an eye out for Typhon Logs and Eridian Writing as you progress through the new zone.
- The Red Chest in the Courtyard of the Damned is a good source of loot.
- Hammerlock gives an Epic Pistol.
- Moxxi gives a guaranteed weapon from the slots (one-time).
