Footsteps of Giants

Head to the Vault to retrieve the last key. You can accept new Side Missions, Homeopathological and Cannonization, which lead to Red Chests and other tasks.

Exit the area and take the southeastern path, then melee the vines.

Follow the path south, dispatch enemies, and hug the western wall to find the second Typhon Log before dropping back down.

Back in The Conqueror, head along the eastern wall to find the Maliwan camp. Leave your vehicle behind.

As you head forward, you’ll meet another Traunt and then a large group of Maliwan soldiers. These Dark variants are tougher versions of the standard Maliwan soldiers.

Use the containers to reach the outer wall and begin the climb to the Crimson Radio.

To reach the Hijack Target inside, you need to disable generators. Follow the yellow wires to the generators and shoot them all in quick succession to temporarily drop the barrier.

Once the entire camp is cleared, head up the stairs to the south and take out another large group.

Head to the southeastern wall and use the containers to reach the outer wall. Follow this south and jump onto more crates, then follow them to the staircase where the second Crimson Radio awaits.

While in this location, head northwest to spot a barrier with a Hijack Target behind it. Follow the yellow wires to generators and shoot them all in quick succession to temporarily drop the barrier.

Head inside, grab the Vehicle, and drive it back to the nearby Catch-A-Ride.

Return to the camp and make your way southeast to encounter another large group of Maliwan. Two Heavies accompanied by a Gunwolf are the biggest threat; take out the Gunwolf first before focusing on the larger targets.

As the path starts heading east, take down another group of basic Maliwan before facing the Elites. Corrosive weapons are effective against them.

Climb the structure in the ground and shoot the generator to bring down the barrier.

As you cross the bridge, you’ll find it destroyed. Take the alternate route by heading northwest out of this area and back to the Catch-A-Ride in the northern part of The Conqueror desert.

Your next destination is reached by hugging the eastern wall. Melee the vines to gain access.

Ahead, you’ll encounter Eridian Guardians. Pay special attention to the Sera’s, as they are the most troublesome.

Continue east, taking out another group of Eridian Guardians, then melee through the vines.

Another group of Guardians awaits on the other side. Follow the path east to take out two more groups.

As you head towards the area to the east, take a detour north to find the second Dead Claptrap.

Prepare yourself before dropping east, as the brother of an old adversary awaits.

The arena is limited, and Traunt is similar to his younger brother. He has a Shield that needs to be taken down first; Shock weapons or Action Skills are recommended. His weak point is the large generator on his back.

Traunt attacks by firing beams, which can be avoided by keeping on the move. He also shoots elemental Orbs that persist and damage you; shoot them down if possible.

He can also shoot a fast-paced Orb that travels around the outside of the arena. The best way to avoid most of his attacks is by standing against the wall in the area you drop into.

Pay attention to the radar (your minimap (the small circular map in the bottom-left corner of your screen) with nearby blips and threats marked) at all times, as Maliwan soldiers will sneak in behind you.

Outside of this, Traunt should not be too much trouble if you position yourself correctly. His attacks are avoidable, and you should have enough firepower. General Traunt has no unique drops to farm.

Collect your loot after defeating Traunt and continue east to pass into the next zone.
