Chapter 29: Downtown Emporia: 29

When the elevator stops, you'll be in the Financial District of Emporia, under attack by Vox forces. Below you is a small platform, and across a gap is a large platform with a red roof. Streets are in front and to the right. Sky-lines circle the area from the lower platform, over the central rooftop, and back. A balcony overlooks the zone on the far side.

Tears in this location include: a barrel of salts on the lower platform, a Mosquito patrolling the central area, an Oil spill on the central platform, a Crank gun on the wooden walkway at the bottom, a Crate of medical kits on the street to the right, a Water puddle on the street to the right, a Decoy on the street to the left, another Crate of medical kits on the street to the right, an RPG and ammo on the far balcony, and a Volley Gun and ammo on the far balcony.

Fight the numerous Vox soldiers and rocketeers. More reinforcements will arrive via barges. A Handyman will also appear. Use the sky-lines to move between areas to avoid the Handyman and deal with other enemies.

Once the other Vox are defeated, focus on the Handyman. After defeating him, he will drop a piece of Equippable Gear [1/3].

Use the sky-line to reach the balcony on the far side of the area from the elevator. Have Elizabeth unlock the door here, which requires 3 lock picks. Inside, you will find a Voxophone [1/4].

Drop to ground level below the balcony to find one of each vending machine: Minuteman’s Armory and Veni! Vidi! Vigor!.

The Minuteman’s Armory vending machine offers upgrades: Burstgun (Recoil Decrease for 822, Damage Boost 1 for 423, Ammo Increase for 672), Hail Fire (Clip Increase for 399, Radius Increase for 415, Damage Boost 2 for 688), Hand Cannon (Recoil Decrease for 350), Heater (Damage Boost 2 for 554, Spread Boost for 467), Repeater (Damage Boost 2 for 416, Clip Increase for 449), RPG (Speed Boost for 333), Shotgun (Spread Boost for 360), Volley Gun (Radius Increase for 536, Damage Boost 1 for 522, Clip Increase for 740).

The Veni! Vidi! Vigor! machine offers upgrades: Shock Jockey (Shock Duration Aid for 575), Charge (Charge Boost for 555), Return to Sender (Send for Less for 898, Sender Aid for 1,287), Undertow (Undertow Boost for 1,143).

Proceed to the gate marked ‘Harmony Lane’ and have Elizabeth unlock it.

As you move through Beggars Alley, you can pick up the Return to Sender vigor from a crate on the right if you haven't completed the previous optional task. Behind this crate is a stack of crates with ammo and a lock pick.

Continue through the open door to the left. In this room, you will find a Dollar Bill, a Veni! Vidi! Vigor! vending machine, and a Minuteman’s Armory vending machine. Continue upstairs to exit back outside.

Upon exiting, you will see several tears and come under attack from snipers. Run to the sign reading ‘Emporia Towers’ for cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects).

Tears in this location include: a sniper rifle and ammo to the right of the sign, a Freight Hook above and to the right, a Decoy at ground level on the walkway to the left, and a piece of cover on the balcony directly in front of you.

There are four snipers: one on the balcony directly in front, one on the roof above that balcony, one on the balcony to the left, and one on a further balcony on the left side of the street.

Have Elizabeth phase in a sniper rifle if you don't have one. Then, have her activate the decoy tear. Use the cover of the sign to eliminate the four snipers while they are distracted.

After the snipers are dead, before crossing the bridge, look along the wall of the building you just exited to find a door Elizabeth can unlock. Inside, you'll find a lock pick kit and other loot. Two Vox soldiers will enter, so be prepared to defend yourself.

Exit and take the path below the bridge with the decoy for some salts and another lock pick.

Return upstairs and cross the bridge. Enter the open door on the right immediately after crossing. Find the stairs leading downstairs.

At the bottom, kill the Vox soldiers. Behind the table on the right where they were sitting, you will see a carton on a shelf with a Voxophone [2/4] in it. Loot the rest of the area and head back out.
