Words of Power are crucial collectibles in Alan Wake 2, allowing Alan to upgrade his weapons and abilities. There are 28 in total, and finding the first one unlocks the "Carry his Words" trophy. These Words are categorized into seven types, each offering distinct benefits.

Words of Fix (5 total)

• Wellness Retreat (3 ranks): Increases maximum health by 15% / 35% / 50%.
• God Rays (3 ranks): Increases max amount of health restored in Safe Havens by 30% / 46% / 69%.
• Wheels Within Wheels (2 ranks): Restores 50% / 100% of max health when a new Word of Power is discovered.

Words of Gun (4 total)

• Roulette (3 ranks): Provides a 5% / 10% / 15% chance to not consume ammo when firing the revolver.
• Personal Space (3 ranks): Increases the knockback force of Alan's shotgun by 15% / 30% / 50%.
• Sunny Skies (3 ranks): Increases Flare Gun projectiles' area of effect by 25% / 50% / 100%.

Words of War (4 total)

• Full Stop (3 ranks): Increases damage dealt by the last bullet in the Revolver's Chamber by 25% / 50% / 100%.
• Paint the Town (3 ranks): Increases Double-Barrelled Shotgun damage by 25% / 50% / 100% when hitting multiple enemies with one shot.
• Goes Around (3 ranks): Restores 15% / 25% / 35% of max health when landing a direct hit with the Flare Gun.

• Tourist Map: Marks all nearby resources and points of interest on Wake's map.

Words of Power Locations - Casey

1. Word of Fix: After obtaining the revolver from the alley in the Dark Place, use Light Shift to open up another alleyway. Follow it round to the end to find the Word of Power above a doorway.
2. Word of Fix: Go past the Talk Show Studio on the south side of Wheeler St. You will find the Word of Power on the ground underneath a _Cold Casey_ poster.
3. Word of Action: Go to Draft St., east of the Caldera St. Plaza. You will find the Word of Power on an overhead railway bridge.
4. Word of Lamp: Head south from the Break Room in the Dark Place and go up some steps. You will find the Word of Power below you on the rooftop to your right.
5. Word of Gun: After absorbing light from the taxi in Caldera St. and fighting off the enemies which spawn, go into the doorway that they emerged from. You will find the Word of Power on the wall above some graffiti.
6. Word of War: Climb a ladder at the eastern end of Caldera St. and follow the walkway round. You will find the Word of Power on the ground next to an air conditioning unit.
7. Word of Gun: After unlocking the _FBI Agent_ plot element in Caldera St. Station, go to the back of the platform where you will find a stationary subway train. Position yourself carefully and shine your torch through the back window to unlock the Word of Power.
8. Word of Aid: Follow the arrows south of the Break Room in the Subway Tunnels. You will find the Word of Power on a wall.
9. Word of Lamp: After performing a Light Shift in the Subway Tunnels, go into the nearby storeroom. You will find the Word of Power on the eastern wall.
10. Word of War: After exiting the second Break Room in the Subway Tunnels, turn round and go into the tunnel to the north. You will find the Word of Power on the ceiling.
11. Word of Action: After making your way through a burned-out subway train in the Subway Tunnels, climb down a ladder and follow the arrows round a pillar. You will find the Word of Power on the wall behind a board which you must shoot.
12. Word of Fix: After reaching the Abandoned Station in the Subway Tunnels, go through a gate to the west. You will find the Word of Power on the wall above a ticket booth.
13. Word of Lamp: After reaching Shrine St. Station, go into a dark tunnel to the west. You will find the Word of Power high on the wall.
14. Word of Gun: After reaching Shrine St. Station, make your way through a subway train. You will find the Word of Power on the side of a second subway train to your left.
15. Word of Action: After unlocking the _Summoning Ritual_ plot element in Shrine St. Station, head west along the platform and go through a door. You will find the Word of Power on the northern wall.
16. Word of Fix: As you make your way out of Shrine St. Station, you will reach a break room. The Word of Power is on the wall behind a grating to the north.

1. Word of Aid: As you make your way north along Ocean Avenue, look for three telephone kiosks on the left side of the street. The Word of Power is high up on the wall of a brownstone to your left.
