Episode 2: North Star

Follow our comprehensive guide for Alan Wake 2's Episode 2: North Star. Learn how to talk to the sheriff, find all 6 stashes, locate the orientation video, and discover the correct coffee temperature to progress.

Walkthrough:

1. Talk to the Sheriff: Arrive at Coffee World. The gate is locked; examine the logbook in the ticket booth and enter the code 238. Follow the path to the gazebo. Ignore the Shadowy Figures. Talk to the sheriff, ask about the shadow things, and learn about abductions. Take his spare gun and flashlight, and read the notes.
2. Get Inside the Warehouse:
   • Stash #1: Behind a small building past the gazebo.
   • Stash #2: To the right of the gazebo, down a narrow path, then right towards the Welcome Center. Fight two enemies, then head towards the Percolator ride.
   • Stash #3: Backtrack to the Welcome Center, take the path left of the stalls, follow it, turn right at portable toilets. Find it in a shed by Latte Lagoon.
   • Stash #4: Backtrack to the Welcome Center, go up the steps, follow signs to the Tasting Room, continue past it. Kill three enemies, find the stash near a children's ride.
   • Stash #5: Head back towards the Tasting Room, go up steps to the Slow Roaster, continue past it towards portable toilets.
   • Stash #6: Head back down the path from the Tasting Room, go right at the fork towards Huotari Well. Burn away three darkness nodes and deal with attacking enemies. Head towards the warehouse, turn left, and look behind a red pickup truck. This unlocks the 'Percolate' trophy.
   • Warehouse Intercom: Examine the intercom. The security question is: what is the fourth word of Dark Triangle Coffee's mission statement from the orientation video?
3. Find the Orientation Video:
   • Ask the sheriff at the gazebo about the tape. He hid it in cup #4 of the ferris wheel.
   • Take the Ferris Wheel Control Key.
   • Return to the Tasting Room, kill two enemies.
   • Go up steps to the Slow Roaster and use the key on the controls. Click controls again when the correct cup reaches the bottom.
   • Retrieve the Orientation Video Tape from the cup.
   • Return to the Welcome Center, place the tape in the machine. The mission statement is:
