Alright, let's get you prepped for the next step in Thief: The Dark Project. This section is all about making sure you've got the right stuff before you head out. You'll be dealing with some Human Guards, both Swordsmen and Archers, and watch out for Spiders too.

Starting Funds: You'll begin with either 300 gold, or 350 if you managed to snag that vase at the end of the training mission. If you skipped the training, it's a flat 300 gold. Remember, any gold you have doesn't carry over, so spend it wisely if you decide to buy anything.

Starting Gear: You're equipped with the essentials:

• 1 Sword
• 1 Blackjack
• 36 Broadhead Arrows
• 8 Water Arrows
• 1 Healing Potion

Items for Sale: Here's what you can pick up if you need it:

• 20 Broadhead Arrows (Cost: 25 each)
• 4 Water Arrows (Cost: 50 each)
• 2 Healing Potions (Cost: 250 each)

Now, here's the kicker: you can actually get through this mission without buying a single thing. You start with most of what you'll need, and you'll even find Flash Bombs inside the Manor. Since you won't be getting into any direct fights (you can't kill anyone!), buying Healing Potions is pretty much a waste, unless you're planning on spending a lot of time underwater or getting chewed on by Spiders. You even find a Healing Potion pretty early on in the Manor.

However, if you've got some gold burning a hole in your pocket, your best bet is to grab some extra Water Arrows. They can really help you out with staying hidden in certain spots. If you go for the recommended purchase, you'll want 4 Water Arrows, which will set you back 200 gold.
