Alright, so you're ready to tackle some of the side quests in The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero, huh? Good call! The West Crossbell Highway Monster Extermination is a good one to get done early in Chapter 2. You don't need to find a specific client for this; just head to the SSS HQ and check the computer. It's totally optional, so you can knock it out whenever you've got a spare moment.

Walkthrough

Once you've accepted the request from the computer, you'll need to head to the West Crossbell Highway. Make your way to the fourth screen of the highway. You can't miss your target; it'll be blocking the intersection.

Before you jump into the fight, it's a super good idea to save your game. The request description gives you a hint: attacking them all at once will make them fight back hard. So, the plan is to take them out one by one. Oh, and remember to scan at least one of the enemies!

When the battle starts, you'll see there are actually three Nepenthes Gs. Stick to the advice and avoid any attacks that hit multiple enemies. Lloyd's S-Break is perfect for focusing down the middle Nepenthes. If you're lucky, it'll Seal the monster, making the fight much easier.

If Tio or Elie have any strong Fire Arts, now's the time to use them! They'll deal some serious damage.

Keep an eye on the Nepenthes' attacks. They have Pollen, which hits a single target for about 230 HP and can inflict Blind. Their other move, Earth-Shaker, is the real danger. They use it when you attack, and it hits your whole party for around 350-400 HP. This is why you absolutely need to focus on one enemy at a time.

Elie's Holy Bullet is a lifesaver here for healing the whole party and even giving back some CP. Use it often!

Once the middle Nepenthes is down, the other two will be spaced out enough that you can use Randy and Tio's S-Breaks effectively. Randy's Burn S-Break is particularly nasty if it lands.

After you've dealt with all three, just head back to the SSS HQ computer to report the request. Easy peasy!
