Main Walkthrough

Follow this detailed walkthrough for Ochette's Chapter 2, 'Tera's Route,' in Octopath Traveler II. Includes tips on befriending Pom, finding items, and defeating Tera.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Find someone who knows about Tera: Head to the northeast part of Crackridge, near the Inn, to trigger a scene.
  2. 2
Find someone who can lead the way to Tera: Go southwest towards the Weapon Shop for another scene where you meet Pom.
  3. 3
Befriend Pom: To befriend Pom, you need to give him Aromatic Jerky. If you don't have any, hunt Buttermeeps in the Western Crackridge Wilds during the day to capture one. Return to Pom at night with the jerky and befriend him. Pom will then reveal the path to the Bed of the Titan.
  4. 4
Make for the Bed of the Titan with Pom: Navigate through the area, collecting an Energizing Pomegranate (M) from a chest to the right before going down the first ladder. Continue right, then down the ladder. Go left, over beams, and down another ladder. Take the southwest ladder down for a chest with a Protective Bracelet. Return and take the other ladder. Save at the Save Stand and get a Fire Amulet from the chest to the right. Heal your party and proceed down the main ladder for the boss fight against Tera.
Tips
  • Recommended level for this chapter is late 20s.
  • Party members with Ice and Darkness abilities are highly useful. Osvald or a Scholar sub-job with Advanced Magic is beneficial. Healing is also crucial, so consider Temenos or a Cleric.
  • During the Tera boss fight, keep party members' HP above 1200. Lowering Tera's attack (Thief) or using party buffs (Apothecary/Castti) can help.
  • Tera hardens its shell over time, lowering its weaknesses.
  • Osvald with Advanced Magic can hit Ice twice per turn. Peacock Strut is also a useful addition if possible.
