This section details the Super Art commands for each character in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. If a Super Art is not listed for a character, it is performed using the same input as if it were selected by itself.

Gameplay Notes
Rules of the Game
Matches consist of three rounds by default, with the first player to win two rounds declared the winner. A round is won by depleting the opponent's Life Gauge through attacks.
A double K.O. occurs when both characters are defeated simultaneously. In this case, both players are awarded a win, and the player with more wins advances. If the win count is tied, another round is held.
The default game timer is 99 (66 seconds). If time expires, the player with more life wins. If life is equal, 'Judgment' occurs, where the CPU determines the winner via three random judges. In W Impact, the winner is chosen randomly. In the arcade version of 2nd Impact and the DC version of Third Strike, the first player always wins if neither character acts.
Win Signs
- V (Victory): Opponent defeated by any attack other than a Super Art.
- S (Super Art): Opponent defeated by a Super Art.
- C (Cheap/Chip Damage): Opponent defeated via block damage.
- D (Draw Game): Both players defeated simultaneously. Both get a victory; the player with more wins advances. If tied, another round is held.
- J (Judgment): Won via Judgment when time expired with equal life.
- P (Perfect): Won the round with full life.
Blocking and Parrying
Blocking occurs by holding back to block high attacks or down to block low attacks. No damage is taken when blocking, though blocking special moves or Super Arts results in minor damage per hit.
Some attacks cannot be blocked and must be parried. Mid-air blocking is not normally possible. If page 8 of System Direction is unlocked, mid-air blocking is enabled by holding back in the air when attacked, provided the game is set to Original.
