Walkthrough
- 1Return to the Rain Forest and proceed to the temple.
- 2Head north and then to the right to reach Eggman's base.
- 3Knuckles boards the Egg Carrier just before it departs.
- 4Onboard, Knuckles senses the Master Emerald pieces nearby.
- 5Continue forward to witness the Egg Carrier transform.
- 6Go back and enter the door.
- 7Jump into the drained pool, where Knuckles will comment on sensing the Master Emerald pieces.
- 8The door here leads to the fifth stage, Sky Deck.
- 9As Knuckles prepares to return to restore the Master Emerald, he is transported.
- 10Run forward to find Tikal, who explains her father and his soldiers destroyed the shrine.
- 11Knuckles is then transported back to the Egg Carrier.
- 12Exit onto the Egg Carrier's main deck.
- 13Knuckles sees a flash of light; head in that direction.

- Hit the spiked objects, pick them up, and throw them at Chaos to make him freeze.
- Jump at Chaos while he is frozen to damage him.

After defeating Chaos 6, Knuckles believes the beast is destroyed and heads back to the Emerald Shrine. He places the Master Emerald pieces back, restoring it. The Master Emerald's power causes the island to rise again, and Knuckles rests.
