Guide to Silent Hill: Townfall's fan puzzle on the right side, including the lever sequence, and a detailed strategy for defeating the boss, Scarlet.

Before proceeding, duck under Fan 3, then Fan 2. In the medical case on the table beyond Fan 2, you will find the SERUM (4/8).

You need to pull the levers along the sides of the fans in a specific order to turn off the fans on the right side. The sequence is:

4|5 → 3|4 → 5|6 → 4|5 → 2|3 → 3|4

Here's a detailed explanation of the process:

1. Pull the "4|5" switch. This turns off fan 5 and turns on fan 4.
2. Pull the "3|4" switch. This turns off fan 4 and turns on fan 3.
3. Pull the "5|6" switch. This turns off fan 6 and turns on fan 5.
4. Pull the "4|5" switch. This turns off fan 5 and turns on fan 4.
5. Pull the "2|3" switch. This turns off fan 3 and turns on fan 2.
6. Pull the "3|4" switch. This turns off fan 4 and turns on fan 3.

With fans 4, 5, and 6 now off, Alex can duck under all the fans on the right side and proceed. Turn left after passing through the fans to find a ladder at the end of the tunnel. Climb down the ladder, move past it, and you'll find a SAVE POINT on the wall ahead. Save your game!

Climb down the next ladder across from the save point. Josh will appear and run ahead; follow him along the catwalk.

A cutscene will show the wall ahead breaking open to reveal a tunnel. The lights in each section of the tunnel will shut off sequentially. Move down the dark tunnel, make a right at the end, and the area will light up, revealing a door directly ahead. Open the door.

Enter the room with the giant overhead fan and approach Dr. Fitch, who is kneeling in the center. He will cut himself and look up as Alex gets closer. He will resume cutting himself if Alex moves away.

Speak with Dr. Fitch for an interactive cutscene. Your dialogue choices do not significantly alter the outcome unless you choose to end the conversation early by giving him the doll.

Boss: Scarlet

Attacks:

• Arm Swipe: Scarlet leans an arm back and swipes the ground in front of her. This can be a single swipe or followed by another swipe in the opposite direction.
• Blood Eruption: Scarlet pounds the ground, causing a spurt of blood to erupt.

Scarlet is a manageable boss, fighting similarly to a larger standard enemy. The key to this fight is mastering the dodge mechanic, as Alex cannot take cover.

Strategy:

• When Scarlet performs her two-hit arm swipe combo, dodge the first swipe, pause briefly, then dodge the second. She is vulnerable after the second swipe.
• Use a charged X attack with the Crowbar on her legs immediately after dodging. The Fire Axe can also be used, but the Crowbar is faster and safer. The Combat Knife is ineffective due to her porcelain exterior.
• Avoid performing more than a single charged strong attack, as Alex may get hit if you attempt more.
• If Scarlet performs a single arm swipe, you might be able to land a counter attack or a regular A swing, especially if you are anticipating a double swipe.
• The Blood Eruption attack is difficult to distinguish from a swipe. Risk pressing the dodge button; it can be dodged similarly to the swipe but requires slightly different timing.
• After dodging the ground pound, Alex will roll behind Scarlet, providing an opportunity for free hits. If Alex rolls away, you may need to reposition.
• When Scarlet stands still and yells, she is preparing for an attack and offers an opportunity for a free charged hit. Charge your swing during this moment.
• Once Scarlet's porcelain shell begins to break off after taking damage, focus on damaging her legs to knock off all porcelain pieces.
• When she falls, perform an A, A, charge X combo or continuously use charged X swings with the Crowbar on her legs to finish her off.
